I am a disabled grandmother raising my 12 year old grandson. From the moment I walked into this hotel I was treated with hostility regarding my disability. The front staff and assistant manager were actually laughing at me and I encountered many micro aggressions throughout my stay. Makayla the assistant manager said she would talk to the gentleman that worked at the front desk about laughing at me. I felt un welcomed from the moment I drove into the parking lot and seemed to be a bother to the front desk. I went back out to my car and cried due to my unkind treatment. I tried to park in the designated handicap spots however they were taken by vehicles with no handicap plate or pass. When I finally made it up to my room ( on the 2nd floor ) there were multiple curly hairs on the soap dish in the bathroom and shower. The air conditioner did not work properly as well as a loud gathering on the 3rd floor right above my room that kept me from sleeping. When I arrived at breakfast in the morning I asked a girl at the front desk for help opening a cabinet drawer and I was again met with rudeness and micro aggression. The dining area is not set up for people with physical disabilities. The front desk staff watched me struggle and offered no assistance. The breakfast french toast was too stiff and hard to eat and cold. I informed the front staff of all my concerns and complaints and I was in informed by multiple front desk staff the the General Manager would be in Sunday morning and they would give him a message to call me. When I check out on Sunday I asked to speak to the General Manager and I was again told that he wasn’t in yet and would be in that afternoon. I left several messages with front desk and GM voicemail. When I finally spoke via email with the GM I requested 3times the contact info for director of operations for that location or the owners contact info if privately owned. I had to find the information myself after 3 requests to escalate this issue. When I finally spoke on the telephone with Kevin Kroeber he was less than kind and know I see why his staff acts the way they do under his leadership or shall I say indifference, lack of empathy and respect. There are other issues as well that are not appropriate for this forum and I will hopefully get an opportunity to address in entirety with the director of operations Stephanie. Blessings to all

Staying at Home2 Atascadero felt a touch of home, away from home. My mom and I stayed for a night at a lovely room equipped with 2 queen beds, complete with a full size fridge, dishwasher, kitchenette, living area and a decently sized bathroom. We were truly impressed with the cleanliness, along with a complete set of dishes, cups and mugs to use during our stay. The kitchenette came with a small bottle of dish liquid and a packet of dishwasher detergent. We slept pretty well as the beds were clean and comfortable. Breakfast was pretty decent. I enjoyed a full plate of waffles, along with sliced potatoes and eggs. How I wish Home2 Atascadero provided dairy alternatives such as almond or soy milk. Please add dairy alternatives to the breakfast buffet, so that many lactose intolerant and vegan guests are able to enjoy milk and cereal during their stay. Upon check out, I also notified the receptionist that the digital alarm clock in my room is 10 minutes behind (I posted a picture, so please fix it asap). Overall, we enjoyed our stay. I look forward to staying here again, especially when the amenities are enhanced and become more inclusive.

The Home2 Suites in Atascadero is an amazing choice for those who are visiting the San Luis Obispo area. It is right off US-101 and in super close proximity to Trader Joe’s, Pier 46 seafood and Human Bean and is not too far from Hearst Castle and Morro Bay. The suites are very nicely decorated and well-appointed. The bed is extremely comfortable, and the curtain between bed and living area is a super nice touch if you are traveling with guests. The kitchenette is well-equipped with full sized stainless steel appliances and feels genuinely upscale and refreshing. One thing I will say is that the accommodations are a bit tight (namely the bathroom), so beware of that if you are traveling in large groups. Otherwise, I would absolutely recommend this property to anybody who is visiting San Luis Obispo county for any reason!

The saying “never judge a book by its cover” definitely applies here. While this place looks nice and looks clean do not let that fool you, this establishment has numerous problems. From the moment we arrived it was one problem after the next, heat not working correctly in the living room area (manager admitting that they have several rooms like this), thermostats not reading properly (off by several degrees), you can not set the thermostat past 80 or under 68 and with the thermostat reading off you wind up with several degrees difference in temperature, there is a sensor that turns off the lights every 20 minutes and with it also turns off the heat and air this happens 24/7 (so when you get up the heat/air is off and now you are hot or cold, our room flooded while there (started on the fourth floor and came into our second floor after the third) ( employee admitted this was his fault and that it went floor to floor) they did nothing except send someone to steam clean the areas where there was water several hours after it happened and was near dry (whole hotel out of water for several hours), the dryer ate my pants, someone moved my towels from the washer and started drying them when there was another washer available (weird), they painted and gave no notice (smell came into our room and we had to leave for the day), they also gave no notice and applied some sort of netting to the windows that we had to keep the curtains closed for and not park on that side of the building where we were staying. This process omitted a terrible smell that made us have to leave the room.On top of all of this a front desk girl that is so nice till there is a problem then she becomes the wicked witch of the west. I’m sure there’s more but it’s exhausting just reliving this. Needless to say we cut our stay short by several weeks and left to somewhere now where we are happy and have had no problems so far. In short, avoid this place and stay somewhere else. It may be clean but the problems and lack of service will not...

We stayed here on the way home from a family road trip. This was the last leg of our trip (part camping trip, part hotel stay) so it was really nice to have the extra space and amenities of a suite style hotel.

The layout of this hotel is very thoughtful. We stayed in a 2 queen room and I appreciated that it had extra space in the couch area for our baby’s crib. It was also nice to have a curtain in that area to make a little separate baby room/ breakfast area. There was a nightlight in the bathroom, which is such an underrated feature in hotels— especially when you’re sharing a room as a family and waking up with young kids at times.

There was lots of storage space and a full sink/ kitchen area, which was great. Everything was extremely clean!! The bathroom was a nice size. I would definitely seek out this hotel again.

We have two kids and this gave us some extra space and breathing room compared to a traditional hotel. Breakfast was included and they had tons of high chairs available, which was nice. They also had games and kid toys around for use. There were little phone charging stations built into the breakfast/ lobby area.

Their pool was open from 10 am to 10 pm, which are pretty decent hours. My only complaint is that the pool could have been a bit warmer. I also appreciated having a first floor room, as it was easy to unload all of our family luggage.

The digital key did not work for me but that wasn’t a huge deal. Check in process was smooth otherwise. I love that they have laundry right by the gym, although we didn’t end up using those amenities during this visit. The lobby was comfortable and they have a 24 hour coffee and tea area, another bonus. This location is close to several brewpubs in the area, another perk. Parking is pretty plentiful.

Overall, this hotel was a winner and worked really well for a...
