It was clean and inviting. The front desk staff was welcoming and informative. It has a quite Bed and Breakfast feel to it. ||The parking wasn't that far away. I have stayed at placed with parking lots with longer walks than parking across the street. ||The lobby offers coffee, hot drinks, and iced water.||There is an ice machine on the second floor. The small hotel has interesting rules, like no ice chests (probably to smelling dead fish being stored in a room).||We loved our balcony, though we couldn't find a way to shut off the light at night.||Our room was spacious. The ceiling was a dark color instead of white. It felt cozy. We really loved it.||The bathroom was large, but the sink vanity was small. We used the large closet and the drawers under the TV. We made use of the desk, but no token pen or stationary. I have a collection of hotel pens, but not from this place. ||There were so many pillows on our large bed with beautiful comforter.||You need to ask for room service if you want your room tidy after your day adventure.||There are several restaurants in walking distance. Read moreMy husband and I stayed here for three nights during 4th of July holiday. This quaint boutique hotel was in a perfect spot for us to travel 10 minutes to the beach in Sea Bright. All of the staff were extremely friendly and gave us great restaurant recommendations as well as answer any other questions we had about the area. The hotel is located in the center of the town of Atlantic Highlands, which is a really cute town with restaurants, shops, movie theater and other nice businesses. Our bathroom was also large which was nice when the two of us were getting ready to go out. When checking in, you are given a free parking pass to park at the nearby municipal lot. The only suggestion I have is that they put safes in the rooms. It was very inconvenient to have to go to the front desk each time I needed to get my valuables. There is ice cold water and a Keurig coffee machine in the lobby which is a nice touch. I would definitely...
Read moreno fitness center. not extended stay friendly. no breakfast. the tv's in the room are from the 90's no refrigerators in the room (must request, even then its not guaranteed) no microwaves, anywhere. not even a coffee maker in your room. no coolers allowed. parking is on the street, or a block away in the municipal lot, not over sized vehicle friendly (bigger than a suburban) keyed doors, no swipe card or wireless entry card that conveniently fits in your purse or wallet, that key gets lost a lot i bet. walls are paper thin might as well be sleeping in the same bed as your neighbor, 2 doors down. every room is different, some are much larger or some are super small, some have a balcony facing the main road, some face the construction demolition out back with no balcony at the same price (govt rate) if it were up to me, i would not stay here again. ive stayed at many hotels all over the world, some hotels make you say to yourself "i wouldnt mind coming back here again" this one doesn't do...
