The Wine Bar and Restaurant — Restaurant in Atlantic Highlands

Don't go there hungry! Exceptionally poor service. We sat for 20 minutes before our drink order was taken and the place wasn't that busy; regardless, our server offered no apology. In fact, we watched our server and the sad excuse for a manager set an empty table while we and another table of patrons waited to place our orders. Management never confirmed our reservation on Open Table and ignored us at coat check on our way out, as she flirted with some guy over cocktails at the bar. The food was amazing and the ambiance beautiful. The owner(s) put a lot into making it a great restaurant but the kitchen can only carry this place for so long. Don't bother spending upwards of $100 per guest here when there are a plethora of wonderful fine dining options in a 15 miles radius. Also, the dress code does not apply; majority of diners were in jeans.

I recently had drinks and dined at The Wine Bar for a celebratory work outing and was extremely impressed. Starting with being graciously welcomed by the owner, Courtney, and then being attended to by the bartender, Jake, who recommended a fabulous Red wine to start the evening. The decor and atmosphere was warm and welcoming the service was as good as could be expected and the food was amazing! You must try the bacon wrapped dates! Our server, Katie, catered to our every need and Courtney, the owner, checked in on us twice. We've been to The Wine Bar on multiple occasions for a couples dinner and either hosting or attending very special celebrations. The overall venue, event planning, food quality & options, service was exception, perfect, and much appreciated. All of which, reasonably priced! As soon as one enters The Wine Bar, there's a feeling he/she is patronizing an exclusive NYC venue relative to the settings of a high end lounge, comfortable and lively atmosphere and decor, to the fine dining service area. A number of my guests attending one of my hosted events returned on their own for couple dinners and affairs they've hosted! Very likely when you visit the Wine Bar the first time, you'll return multiple times...
