My main beef is management seems determined to NOT to honor online reservation prices. If you book online, walk into the office with your reservation visible on your device.
I booked online for the Senior Rate of $51. Since I have difficulty walking, my travel companion went into the office to check in. He was asked to pay $62. When he questioned this, he was offered "the lowest possible rate of $52,"-- more than the online price I had booked.
We decided to stay an extra night--a Sunday night--hardly a full motel night. The woman manager told us we would have to pay the "regular rate" of $59, because we had received a "special deal" the night before.
I proceeded to book online for $51 for the upcoming night. The female manager (whose husband I believe I met on an earlier trip) refused to let me talk to the owner. She told me if I wanted the $51 rate for the room, I would have to vacate the premises between 11 am and 3 pm.

Read moreWhat this place is, is a warm, dry, cleaner, alternative to being on the street. It is budget friendly and as long as you set your expectations with what your wallet can provide then this place meets or exceeds those expectations. The staff is beyond the nicest and caring group, I have ever met in this industry. They are hospitality. I have stayed here 8 out of 14 nights the past two weeks. I was greeted and felt welcome every stay. I was brought towels, they offered to clean the room, to make the bed. I think this place caters to more short term stays than overnight stays. I am in my third room of rooms here and each room has been consistently clean. Beds are clean. Bathrooms are clean. All the reviews regarding roach infestations; I have killed one bug my first night here. I doordashed a can of spray and haven't seen one since. Might there a bug somewhere, maybe but bugs everywhere; that has not been my experience. Weekdays are quieter than weekends. I have not seen any police involvement here although one night came close. There are homeless encampments in the wooded areas so lock up your car. Animals are welcome with no questions asked. They dont have a dog park but they do offer a place to get bags and trash for your dogs poop. Wifi is free and fulfills it's need to keep me under my data limits. So, If you are in a tight place financially and need somewhere to go, this place is great. If you are passing through and need a few hours to sleep, this place is great. If you are coming to gadsden on vacation (which idk why anybody would) then this place is great.
Again, check your expectations with your wallet and you'll be glad...
