Subway — Restaurant in Attalla

This Subway is right off the interstate, so we decided to stop off on July 25th. I had my two boys with me. The outside had trash laying around, but the inside was clean.

There was one person working behind the counter. I was second in line when it started to get busy around 4:00. Maybe four people waiting.

It took around 15 minutes for three sandwiches to be made. My younger son did not put anything on his sandwich except turkey and mayo. My older son and I had the same sandwich except a few different vegetables. We had them toasted. I have no complaints on the food.

My biggest complaint was it took forever to make three sandwiches. There were people behind me leaning on the walls and waiting patiently. My son clocked 20 minutes on his phone. The lady never said hello and you could barely hear her. I felt she maybe did not like her job- just a though wandering in my mind. It happens. She went soooo slow and took her time. I understand that you want to do the job right, but turtles move faster. She was by herself, but there wasn’t that many people in the restaurant, and I have been to many subways where people worked alone and were fast.

Maybe I can say she wasn’t feeling well or the place lay very little to their employees where they feel they don’t have to move faster. It was very slow. I make sandwiches in the mornings for my kids lunches and pack the lunch box in 10 minutes.

We were trying to get back on the road to head back to the panhandle of Florida. I wonder how long I would of had to wait if I went through the drive thru? Finally someone came in as we were leaving. My only complaint was how slow this employee was.

Placed an online order and wasn't told until arrival that they were out of a meat selection. Made a new meat selection and got 1 and a half sandwiches order made when told they were out of Lettuce. Said we would deal and use Lettuce from home. Get home with the food and find out 1 out of the 3 bacon sandwiches wasn't even cooked, just raw bacon. 2 out of 3 sandwiches were double meat and they had just as much bacon as the solo non double meat. The whole time the employee was making the sandwiches the MOD and another employee were in the back arguing. When the MOD, a white female stepped up front she exhaled and vape fumes came out of her mouth while being inside the store next to the open food table. The employee who was arguing with the MOD was talking about hours and throwing every other employee under the bus who wasn't there. Overall just a horrible experience. Will no longer use the app for this location, if using this location at all...

I’m only giving this one star because there’s not an option to give zero stars. The server had no idea what was supposed to be on the specialty sandwiches. I had a very difficult time understanding the most basic explanations. It was 2 o’clock in the afternoon and the sweet tea was out and he told me they weren’t going make anymore for the rest of the day. What was there was old tasting and not very sweet. Both bathrooms were blocked off and when I inquired about it, he told me that the women’s bathroom was not functional. I told him I’d be happy to use the men’s bathroom and he told me they would be working by Sunday. This is not a subway I will...
