We were passing thru the area, and stayed here a week. Was a nice, quite campground until Monday. The business next door was awfully noisy. Started at 7:00 to the latest 12:30am. But the staff was friendly. Park is clean. We entered the soup competition. Hubby almost made potato leek soup. Wish we did. 3 potato soups won. Lol. But was a great time. We kayaked from the ramp. We even seen some northern lights while here. Would come back maybe for a couple of days next time.

We visited Kristin's Bark Park in the AuGres City Park. We were there all by ourselves and it's a wonderful two-sided park with a wood fence in between to discourage any fence fighting if somebody happens to bring an unruly dog. Each side has some agility equipment: a pole weave, a tunnel, some jumps, and a small A-frame. They provide poo bags for any accidents your puppy dog may have. All in all, it's a wonderful dog park. ❤️🐾🐾❤️

Very clean. Loved everything about it, except the Mosquito spraying at 10pm right next to our open windows. Not only was it loud, its chemicals that I wished to not breath in or walk my dog around it. I wish there would have been communucation...Sigh :/ Also the stamping factory next door gets annoying after awhile. The staff was extremely nice!

It was very clean and well maintained. Like everyone said there is great Kayaking. When booking we didn’t see the posted 11pm quiet time though. My suggestion would be to have an earlier quiet time. Kids were running and screaming until well after 10:30, nearly 11:00pm. We were woken up before 8:00am by our neighbors kids screaming and chasing around a RC race car. We did ask them to hold off the next morning until we were awake. Would have liked to be able to relax in the evening instead of listening to kids scream til late at night. The mosquitos are beyond their control, but heads up bring something that has more than 40% DEET, those mosquitoes are psycho!! They chew you right through it. I also think there are sand fleas....our ankles/feet got chewed up. Ok back to the good. The staff is very nice and accommodating. The prices are good and when we realized we would not fit in our site, they quickly moved us. If you go with a big group and don’t mind a ton of kids being loud, it might be the place for you. (might have only been a few kids but they made enough noise for a couple dozen). There were lots of groups there and they look like they were all having...

Each time I come here in summer, this little campground on the banks of the Au Gres River keeps getting better. A few years ago it was a new, and clean, bathroom/shower complex. This year, it is totally new internet service to all guests that actually works. This is an amazing thing when it comes to campgrounds, which normally for some reason feel that proper internet connection is merely an afterthought. The campground is near the state boat launch for Saginaw Bay's walleye fishery, and also sells such things as kid treats, and yes, crawlers,...
