Zanners Ice Cream Shoppe — Restaurant in Au Gres

We were drawn in by the antique building on our road trip. We like to make quirky stops! We walked up to the door and actually thought they might be closed at first. Everything was very dimly lit and it was an overcast day. The girls working there were very friendly though and welcomed us in. 3 out of the 4 of us had an ok experience.1 found a hair their ice cream, about 1/2 way through. Not sure if happened at the shop or the creamery, but it gave her the heeby geebies and made the other 2 of us look a little closer at our bites. i came to zanners about two years ago and enjoyed quality ice cream at a quality ice cream shoppe. I am back here and wanted to relive my amazing experience so decided to go back. A poor closing job was done where the door was shut in my face and i was refused ice cream before 10pm (their closing time) i understand the workers are tired and frustrated but it was handled very poorly and i will now be waiting a year + for more amazing ice cream. great place but a...

Love this cute ice cream shop! They have a lot of local flavors and all the classics. The outside could use an update. The biggest problem is that it’s hard to see if they are open for business as you drive by. The open signs need to be way bigger. On a personal note. I would love a fruit/ chocolate option.
