H&H Bakery & Restaurant — Restaurant in Au Gres

I feel as if I was just "RAPED"! It has been a couple of years but in the past this was once one of the places I would brag about to everyone. So I could not wait to return here for the pizza and pasta buffet.

Now I simply can't get out of this place quick enough. This place is HORRIBLE!

As you can see by the photos, the buffet is almost nonexistent. That must explain why the place was so empty.

ONE pizza on the buffet? We asked when any more pizzas where coming out. They told us not till this one was gone. They told us and another table we could not make any requests.

We spoke with the manager and he explained that they could only afford to make one pizza at a time. I guess he is not wise enough to realize that if his customers don't get something they can enjoy then they won't be customers for long. That is just simple logic. You not only lose that customer but word can spread fast.

But saddest part of this whole experience is that no-one that worked here at H & H Bakery seemed to even care. Not the waitresses playing on their phones in the corner. Nor the kid who brought the single pizza out so slowly that it was cold. To the manager who was too busy trying to make excuses for this mess, to even listen to our concerns or for that matter work the cash register correctly.

I am so very sorry if any of you have been advised by me in the past to check this place out.

World's Best Fritter's!!! Make sure you have "time" their slow as "upnrth life"! **Updted review-H&H Bakery and Restaurant Is The Best Pizza. Inside dining is an experiment that will make you feel upnrth, evrythg u see insde is 4sale, from super nice gadgets, potaski stones made into beautiful jewelry, to the nicest homemade signs for your upnrth cabin or camper, come in and see it for yourself, I promise, you won't be disappointed! Also have always been "consistent in the food served, to the takeout service". Go, check it out for urself, you will not be disappointed! Mayb u'll evn agree, It's The Best all around for dining insde or takeout. There's more to see everytime you go there, I've never left disappointed, also, I have never been disappointed in the pizza, it is by far better then T&C pizza which I recently updted their review as well. Try H&H Bakery and Restaurant you'll not be disappointed, you will also love all the different homemade trinkets, signs, and sweatshirts sweatpants, Petoskey homemade necklaces fine polish Petoskey stones(who a worker's family member-her dad makes them), and soo much more. H&H Bakery and Restaurant is the best place for insde dining or takeout, try them, fyi if you love a great fritter...H&H has THE BEST but you gotta grab yours fast as they are hot an fly out the door asap, get yours as soon as you can,...

This place is local to me, and we patronize them several times a month for donuts and pizza. As far as pizza goes, they have some of the best in the area (try the BLT pizza!). They don't deliver, as far as I know though. The dough recipe for their crusts and bread sticks is awesome. I love the taste, and always eat my crusts. Might have something to do with them having a wonderful bakery as well. With doughnuts and pastries of all kinds, fresh breads, cookies, pies, the whole nine yards. Local, and other Michigan wine available there as well.

If you go there for breakfast, make sure you try the cinnamon bread toast, or even the cinnamon bread french toast. It is made from the same cinnamon bread you can buy up front to take home, and it is something else!

Service is usually good, unless they are packed, then the wait time goes up a little. But that's to be expected. The staff is friendly, and know all their product.
