The hotel accommodations themselves were very comfortable — the beds were plush with nice bedding, the toiletries were good quality, the kitchen was well stocked with useful items, and the pool area was great for families. Unfortunately, the experience was overshadowed by some disappointing interactions with the manager.
A few weeks before our stay, I called to ask about booking two rooms together for a family wedding. The woman who answered seemed impatient from the start. When I asked about adjoining rooms, she said that wasn’t an option. I clarified that nearby rooms would also be fine, but she stated that they couldn’t promise that.
I then tried to ask a more specific question about room types—whether booking two different types would automatically prevent the rooms from being near each other. Instead of answering, she repeated the same statement that rooms couldn’t be promised together, which didn’t address my question. The interaction felt unnecessarily curt and unhelpful.
When we checked in at 3 p.m. (the posted check-in time), the same voice from the phone call met me and appeared to be the manager, she informed me that our reserved room wasn’t ready but offered to downgrade us to a smaller room without a dining table—without clearly explaining the change or offering an apology or even an acknowledgment of the inconvenience. We accepted simply to avoid further delay and frustration.
Later, when I went to the front desk to ask for pool towels for our group of kids that were not stocked at the pool, she again responded rudely, saying, “No, we don’t have any.” Thankfully, another staff member stepped in, brought towels within minutes, and did so with a smile which was appreciated.
The property itself is very comfortable and well-maintained, but the management’s communication and tone could benefit from a bit more warmth and hospitality to match.
My only other note would be that “restaurant” is listed as a hotel amenity on google maps at least— there is a snack bar with items for purchase but no...
Read moreThis was awful :( We booked this hotel because it was brand new and looked forward to fresh new rooms. Little did we know that it's directly across the street from a dump...literally! So gross. The photo attached is the view from our room. When we got out of the car you could actually smell hot garbage 🤢 We obviously would have chose a different hotel had we known. Upon checking in we entered our assigned room only to discover that the room had not been cleaned yet. Over flowing garbage cans and messed up bed. It clearly was missed by the cleaning crew. Back to the front desk to get assigned a new room. Room was just ok. Kind of small, plain and nothing special. Also missing a table and chairs in the kitchen as per the attached photo. Would have been nice to have somewhere to sit and eat...especially for extended stays. Last, but most importantly 😳 This apparently is an "eco" friendly hotel which means you have to insert your key card to have lights or a/c on and the a/c is motion activated and placed in the kitchen!! We would set the thermostat to 19 degrees, but unless you motion activated it, the a/c would only run for 15 minutes then kick off even tho it hadn't reached the selected temperature. So sleeping in this room was pure hell. We took turns getting up throughout the night to activate the sensor!!! The only way we could get the a/c to run continuously was by hanging a strip of tp from the light and using a battery operated fan to keep it moving so we could sleep! Absolutely brutal. Also, no blue boxes in rooms for recycling for these "eco" friendly rooms. We were told we would receive a $20 credit for...
Read moreI've stayed here a few times, this time was interesting but the staff was very accommodating overall and I felt pleased and respected. I like this location because it's quiet, it's brand new so it's clean, I do a lot of work on the east side so getting out of the busy City to come here after working is a nice change. The mall, Costco, and a bunch of stores are still pretty local without feeling congested. I do wish there was an outside pool here but I understand given the location. The fitness center is actually pretty nice for an extended stay. Jim, they have cables, benches and room just to move in the gym which is helpful, plan to go to planet fitness nearby during my entire stay and really just use the hotel gym the whole time it sufficed. I like the layouts of these rooms. The bathrooms are behind a wall and not right at the front door to the room and there is great closet space and dressers. If there is no kitchen or breakfast at this location which I enjoy usually because it keeps the entire hotel cleaner but they do have a pantry area that could use some more items I think. It's more like grab and go little snacks but there are grocery stores around or delivery services. There's also an excellent Thai restaurant in the same parking lot. I'll come back and stay here again for sure and the price is definitely comparable if not better than...
