Little Sweden Motel — Hotel in Bakersfield

Although it may seem like this would be a complete dump, due mostly to the location and basically its location, The Little Sweden Hotel really impressed and overwhelmed this guest. From the beginning, this property was firing on all cylinders through rate affordability, courtesy of the owner-operator, room cleanliness, and room design. On a weekend when all other properties and chains in town were full and charging outrageous rates, The Little Sweden answered the call with a fair rate and no deposit required except a $5 key deposit. Now, I could go on and on ad naseum about the many ways this property was fantastic, but, truthfully, I know it wont make any difference in the world because no stuff-shirt, fake, hypocritical, classist , and judgmental individual who resides within nor travels to Bakersfield will ever consider stepping foot on this business' property...no matter what I say. And to be honest, I am happy for it, because this place is a gem I would love to keep...

This is the very prettiest and cleanest motel I have ever been lucky enough to stay in and since covid has hit I have stayed in many motels but this motel is just the absolute best that I have been blessed with the opportunity to stay in.... I only wish that they offered weekly rates which would offer me an opportunity to stay longer but so far this is the top considering all the motels to be found on Union avenue. My special thanks to the ownership and the diligence that they put in to make this place so...

The owner went all out in remodeling the rooms and property, including security measures which will make your stay a worry-free one. It's run by a husband and wife who live on premises. They are friendly and willing to assist the guests in any way they can. Pets are allowed. There are weekly or monthly rates. And the rates are very reasonable. I highly recommend this hotel as one of the best Union Avenue...
