El Zarape Mexican Food Restaurant — Restaurant in California

The food was not so delicious, chicken fajitas were a bit hard (the chicken), chips and salsa were good and the homemade tortillas not so homemade. The waitress service was excellent and consistent with a beautiful attitude. Area of the restaurant not so good and this place was almost empty on a Saturday afternoon. Prices are in the middle, $21 plus for a fajita plate and a drink. I will not stop there anymore due to the food being not good. They are not sizzeling fajitas, they bring them in a combo plate. Took my gf there a year ago coming from LA towards norcal stockton. We stopped by Bakersfield to look for some authentic Mexican restaurants and came across the El Zarape. This place was welcoming and had great comfortable vibes. The food portion was more than usual, and it tasted really great. Lots of flavor and service were on point when needed for a to-go box. Eww eww very horrible place to eat the worst customer service ever and trust me I’ve been to accouple places that didn’t have the best costumer service but this place is the worst! I had to reorder because what I order was not good, at all an it was more grease then food and then they over charged me and the excuse was that the server made a mistake. If u want a good Mexican food this is definitely not ur place and if u do go make sure they don’t work u for more money...
