We had to stay here as part of a dance group performing in the parks. Given that I anticipated we would have the least preferred location but did not expect poor service. We were in the ranchos which are a solid 10-minute walk to the main area. It's kind of nuts that there is no shuttle available to assist guests. I called the first day and they said no. So, for families trying to get out early in the morning but have littles that might need to go back to your room to grab something quick - you better not forget anything in the morning, because otherwise it's a hike back to get it.|You are far from food and services. Also if you plan to use uber/or lyft, you have to first walk to the lobby to get one since they are not allowed to come pick you up near the ranchos village.|Everywhere we went there was only one person and waits for routine things - such as coffee during the morning rush hour at Barcelona, was unnecessarily long because of only one person working.|Housekeeping services - you don't get services daily, which is posted in the room. However the first day we were there housekeeping asked if we wanted service and we said no we're fine. Thee second day we requested. The third day we really did need service - had to eat snacks in the room to get ready for early morning departures because of the dance performance, so I called and requested it in the morning. They said they would note it and services would come. They even asked if we had left the room yet. We come back at the end of a performance and park day and there is no service. So I called to get fresh towels. Almost 30 minutes later no towels. I call again. No apology, just an "excuse-planation" about the fact that we didn't qualify for housekeeping the third day. I asked why no one told me when I called. No response and no apology. Also, she noted there was no request in my account from 30 minutes ago for fresh towels, the first person had not put it in. Took another 15 minutes to get towels. Meanwhile we are trying to get the kids/family to bed after a long day. Not a magical experience at all. |Bell Services – we called the day before to inquire if Bell services would be able to help us for our flight the next day. They said call 15-30 minutes before, but if we knew when we were leaving, they would note it now (the day before) and we would be set. We didn’t know at the time, so we said we would call back. We call back the same day and bell services tells us no, they do not take information the day before, we were requesting services at 7:30am, so to call back the same morning around 7am. So we called at 7am this morning and now I’m told to call back right when we are ready to leave. At which point I relay all the different stories I have and just making sure since we don’t want to miss our uber, so he takes my information and says we are set. Bell services shows up 10 minute later. Poor Donovan was surprised when we told him we weren’t quite ready as we had requested a pickup around 7:30am. He said no we don’t have to call anyone back, someone will be back at 7:30. At 7:31 we get a call from bell services asking if we had requested services now. Well, of course he knew we had. He said someone will be there within 5 minutes they were in the area. Donovan shows up again 4-5 minutes later. This was quite passive aggressive on Bell services part and gave one of their own staff the run around. This shows the disconnect between having a centralized guest services vs being able to converse directly with the staff about their processes on site (even though I still had two different answers from their own Bell services)|It's not magical unless perhaps you stay at the towers where most of the good reviews come from. It’s not easy to get around for a family that is busy. It is second class service for those tied to organizations that are required to be at one hotel or another. We are not a local family, at Disney for the third time after multiple Disney cruises. We used to always share that Disney prices were worth the experience as they will make small things right and make things easier for families, but that was not our experience at this resort. I would not recommend this resort or stay there...

We arrived at the resort around 9 AM after a cruise and were informed that while our room was not yet ready- which we expected - we could park and take Disney transportation to the parks. Around 4 PM, we received a text stating our room was ready and that we could use a MagicBand or the app’s "Unlock Door" feature to access it directly.

After arriving back to the property from the parks around 9 PM, we got our car to go directly to our room as instructed. We were in the Casitas part of the resort. Upon exiting the main parking area, you are taken to yet another security gate with NO INSTRUCTIONS to guests on how to use it! I have no idea why Disney expects guests to know how to operate their security gates with no signage but here we were. There was a keypad that had the word "Guest" in black lettering on tape on it. We assumed this was for us to use - but again, no sign, no instructions. We have stayed on different Disney properties many times before so we assumed that you hold the phone to the pad and click "unlock door." After trying this about seven times (and with a line of angry cars assembling behind us) we had to call security.

The security personnel questioned our legitimacy as guests and asked for our room number, which was not immediately visible in the app. With poor cell service at the gate, they had to verify our reservation by name, all while a growing line of frustrated guests and buses formed behind us. After a lengthy exchange, security reluctantly let us in, advising us that we should have checked in at the front desk for physical keycards—despite the app instructing us otherwise. If Disney is aware that the app is unreliable, why not proactively inform guests to pick up physical keys upon arrival? They said we should have gone back to the front desk to get physical keys since the "app doesn't work all the time." (?)

The resort is massive, and the app’s "directions to room" feature also failed. Navigating the property late at night with poor signage made the experience frustrating. When we finally reached our room, as feared, the "Unlock Door" feature did not work. This left us stranded outside at 9:30 PM, with our luggage, waiting for assistance. After calling the front desk, a staff member arrived 15 minutes later with keycards but this was immensely frustrating.

The room was clean, but the bathroom has a motion sensor FAN that activates when you walk close to it and it was broken and sounded like a jet engine. You could hear it from outside the room, it was that loud! We requested two blankets upon check-in, and the staff assured us they would arrive "in a few minutes." An hour later, they had not arrived, and exhausted, we canceled the request.

You can imagine my surprise when 25 minutes later, we get a loud knock on our door. We were sleeping, so we tried to ignore it, but they kept knocking. Any guesses on who it was? Housekeeping, with the blankets we had requested, that never showed up, that we cancelled the request for. We did not appreciate being woken up like this at what was now well past 10:30 PM.

The next day, we returned from the parks to find that housekeeping had not replaced our towels or done any cleaning - and that no one showed up to fix the fan. A manager attempted to call us but did not leave a direct number. When we called back, we were routed through multiple departments for 20 minutes before reaching the right person.

The manager was understanding and offered a partial night’s credit, which we appreciated. However, he confirmed that Disney is fully aware of the "Unlock Door" feature’s frequent failures due to inadequate Wi-Fi coverage. Given Disney’s $178 billion market cap, it is baffling that they have not resolved this with Wi-Fi extenders. If the issue persists, guests should be informed BEFORE arrival that they will need to visit the front desk for keycards.

This experience fell well below Disney’s usual standards. The lack of clear instructions, repeated technology failures, delayed service, and poor guest communication were frustrating...

Where do I begin, we booked this vacation 13 months ago, literally in the hospital a day after our son was born. We had booked a water front view room with a king size bed. We arrived Saturday morning around 11 am and for weeks in advance we had requested an early check in since we were bringing our 13 month-old son and knew he would be exhausted from the trip. Needless to say, it was not as an early check-in that we hoped. I know we have no control over that though. For weeks in advance we had requested, on multiple occasions, a crib for our son.

Around 1:30pm we arrive at our room and find out there are 2 queen beds and no crib. I call Disney and they tell me the king size bed is only a request and not a guarantee. They have an available king size bed room but since it is a bigger room it would be an additional $3,300. Literally the amount I had already paid for the whole vacation.

My son is exhausted and needs a nap but no crib. They tell me they can’t give me the crib unless I accept the room. I accept it and they deliver the crib…a mini crib. The multiple times I requested a crib, no one informed me it would be a mini crib. My son did not have a good nap or good night, for that matter, because of the small crib. We rented a standard size crib from a local company and they were able to deliver within a couple of hours. When I informed the front desk about the rental, they didn’t tell me anything.

Moving on, when we arrived in our room, it smelled clean. We thought it was. Sunday night, we let our son crawl around the room. To our horror, when we pick him up he was covered in dust bunnies. We planned on being out of the room most of the day on Monday, so we call Monday to have our room cleaned. We have trash filled with dirty diapers piling up in our room. We confirmed with housekeeping that our room would be cleaned. On our way out on Monday, we confirm with a housekeeper and she assured us our room would be cleaned. We came back after 6 hours and walked into a room smelling of dirty diapers and no sign of housekeeping coming by. We called housekeeping and said they would send someone. I told them my son was taking a nap, if they could call my cell and not the room when they were on their way. They then proceeded to take my cell number down. After a while, I get a phone call, not on my cell, but on the room phone which woke my tired son from his nap. It took us an hour to calm him down. We were frustrated and had to take it upon ourselves to ask housekeeping for trash bags. We had to take out our own trash. We also ordered a Swiffer from Target and had to sweep our own room. It wasn’t until Wednesday that housekeeping finally came to clean our room. We were there a total of 6 days and 7 nights and housekeeping only came by once, after us being there four days. A complete disappointment.

We were checking out Friday morning at 5:30 since we had an early flight. I arranged a pick up for our rental crib. They said they could be by to pick it up at 9 am. I confirmed with the bell desk on Thursday that they would be able to hold the crib at the bell desk for the company to pick up. They just needed a photo of the claim ticket. Come around Friday morning at 5:25am, there is no one at the bell desk and the front desk is telling me that the bell desk can’t any rentals for pick up unless it’s from Scooter World or something like that. She refuses to accept the crib and my Uber is waiting out in front. This is an uber with a car seat so I had to reserve it the day before. I’d not, it’s a minimum 30 minute wait for another and we would miss our flight. I argue with the front desk and leave it there which the lady tells me I can’t. She said because I don’t have a record of the conversation with the bell desk employee, she can’t hold it. I respond to her saying well I can’t take it with me. She’s trying to get me back as I walk out the front door saying, “Sir, sir, we can’t take it…” I just continue to get into my Uber and leave thus ending my worst Disney Resort...
