We booked our room (the Royal suite) based off of a lot of searching for just the right place for our 3rd anniversary. The pictures were beautiful and the room was described as having an in-floor tub as well as pictures showing the tub. It also showed a nice table with four chairs and we had a whole dinner in our room planned for the evening. When we got there, the room was completely different. We literally thought we went to the wrong place. There was no table, only a second bed where the table had been in the pictures, and the floor level tub was above ground. When I called the owner in confusion, she said that she thought the pictures online had been changed, but they had not (I double checked and took screen shots). I was very clearly upset but her only offer was for us to cancel our reservation if we were unhappy. Of course it was our anniversary so we did not want to have no place to go. When I expressed this she offered to call a hotel for us (the same hotel I had told her while we were booking was not what we were looking for) and that was it, she never offered a discount or apology or any way to truly show she wanted to make up for the errors. Our evening plans for dinner were ruined and our night was spent scrambling to figure out what to do. The place was clean and fairly comfortable and the breakfast the next morning was pretty good. The owner seemed nice, as well, despite our issues. It was just devastating to lose such important plans because of inaccuracy on the website and no offer to make it up to us. We couldn't truly enjoy our anniversary this year...
Read moreLocated directly off the town square and perfectly situated for visiting the museum and biking trails. We stayed in the Queen Anne suite which was both charming and romantic. Little touches like fruit and cookies as well as coffee and tea anytime were a plus. We were there right after Halloween so there was plenty of candy for a sweet tooth. The room was decorated as shown in the pictures with a tasteful style and elegance that you will not find in a hotel room. |Great made-to-order breakfast although one of the owners is French, I was expecting a more typically French breakfast. a pain au chocolat would have been really nice.|Anyway, as I found out from the owners, the inn is for sale and they may return to,France to open an inn there. No telling whether new owners will want to run it as an inn or just want it for some other purpose. In any case, it’s not sold yet and i urge anyone who likes a more homey, cozy, and eclectic place to stay that surpasses the experience at any hotel...
Read moreJoana and Michael were extraordinary hosts and have a Bed and Breakfast that is far superior to so many that we have stayed at. Even with Covid and all the many precautions to keep us safe, Joana and Michael still made us breakfast, homemade and hot. Not a bag of food from Costco as we got at another B&B. They BOTH Still cared for us in a very kind yet safe manner and helped us to enjoy our 30th anniversary with comfort and warmth. Inside their B&B you know there is a love for God which then spreads out to each person that they greet. Each room is clean, lavish and inviting. It is a getaway worth the price with an excellent location for walks, museums and food. It is an all in one get away from home. We cannot recommend this B&B anymore. It is rated A+ for us. We pray for this couple, because they work together... and for their family, that God will continue to bless their business and that they will have all they need as they care for the...
