The food is a bit different here than other Mexican places. And a quite a bit pricier than the usual. I love their sauces. I have many food intolerances and had to request a salad instead of rice. Rice allergies to one type are rare. And confusing to most people why. They said he would have to ask if he can even do that. I take it they don’t like switching things. But did. They have an upstairs and voices carry in this building. It was loud. We sat downstairs instead. It’s a small place but too loud for us downstairs also. Music too loud to have a nice dinner for us older folks ( and very sensitive sound processing issues). Then add kitchen sounds. I hate to wear headphones at dinner but thinking about it! They were short handed. I try to keep that in mind. Their chips may be homemade. A tad stale and not warm. We don’t like them really. Refried beans not very warm in a side cup. Chicken not seasoned much at all but still good with the sauce. Sides are small cups. Guacamole much pricier here. Chunky style. Husband’s fajitas less chicken than he likes. He’s not a big pepper fan so I took some of those home because I am! A nice size bowl comes with a fajitas full of lettuce, pico, sour cream. I’ll probably order to go next time. I like the food on occasion. Not a regular place for us. With a few changes, this could be a five star review from me. And I don’t normally give those.

I’m sad to rate this place so low. My friend and I came for lunch with her disabled daughter who needed to remain in her stroller. The dining room had one table that was occupied and otherwise had only booths or tiny tables in the corners. We were told they could not seat us if we couldn’t fold up the stroller or that we would have to go upstairs or outside. It was freezing outside and there’s no elevator upstairs, so we wound up eating outside in the cold. We had to wear our coats and bundle my friend’s daughter up to make sure she stayed warm enough. Our food didn’t remain hot all the long, but it was good while it lasted. We had the Quesabirria hanging tacos. The presentation was incredible. I will say the consumé was not my favorite - it tasted like they used a significant amount of tomato sauce in it. It almost tasted like thin marinara sauce. I’ve had tons of quesabirria and consumé all over the country and have never had consumé that tasted like that.

Nice atmosphere but the positives stop there. I’m shocked this place is rated so high. They don’t provide free chips and salsa (guess they’ve never heard of other Mexican restaurants before as that’s kind of a staple), the chips themselves were SO thick it was like eating rocks. The salsa was subpar and not even remotely spicey. The burrito I ordered was drenched in a gallon (hyperbole) of cheese (see picture). Now the cheese was good, but I didn’t order a bucket of cheese. Nowhere on the menu did it mention it would be covered in cheese. The carne asada in the burrito was almost flavorless. Also we had to flag people down to get refills as the service wasn’t very attentive (and it was not busy). So there you have it. I didn’t hate the food. I ate everything on my plate. But I won’t be back. Pretty much every Mexican restaurant I’ve ever been to is better than this place.

My dining experience at Tequila Azul Bistro in Bentonville was a mixed bag. While the food was generally good, there were several aspects of the meal that fell short of expectations.

Firstly, I was disappointed to find that chips and salsa were not included with the meal. This is a common courtesy at Mexican restaurants, and its absence was a noticeable omission.

Additionally, our table was quite small for our party of four adults. It was barely large enough to accommodate our drinks and appetizers, let alone our main courses. This made for a cramped and uncomfortable dining experience.

When my chimichanga arrived, I was surprised to find that it was not fried. Instead, it was more like a smothered burrito. The meat and cheese sauce were flavorful, but it was definitely not what I had ordered. Additionally, the chimichanga was significantly smaller than the restaurant's regular carne asada burrito, despite being priced the same.

Despite these shortcomings, the overall experience was not entirely negative. We enjoyed our time with friends, and the food was generally good. However, I would hesitate to recommend Tequila Azul Bistro to others, given the issues...

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Azul Tequila Mexican Restaurant in Bentonville, Arkansas, and it was an absolute delight! From the moment I walked in, the warm and inviting atmosphere set the tone for an unforgettable dining experience. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making sure my dining experience was nothing short of exceptional.

Now, let's talk about the food! Every dish I tried was bursting with authentic Mexican flavors and made with fresh, high-quality ingredients. Whether it was the sizzling fajitas, flavorful tacos, or the mouthwatering enchiladas, each bite was a culinary adventure that transported me straight to Mexico.

Overall, Azul Tequila Mexican Restaurant exceeded all of my expectations. If you're in Bentonville and craving authentic Mexican cuisine, this is the place to go. I can't wait to return and explore more of their menu. Highly...
