The best part of this hotel is definitely the staff and the great Customer Service. Every single staff I had an interaction with was amazing. They are very responsive to issues and concerns and they’re just very friendly people overall which is great. The issue with the hotel as this is a very bare bones hotel. This is literally a hotel that you just sleep in. It’s not a place where you stay for a romantic weekend or a staycation because there’s just not a lot of amenities there and there’s not much there for food and beverages outside of a vending machine, which is extremely overpriced. The rooms are very old and dated and need a lot of updating and just basic maintenance like painting and deep cleaning and replacing some of the items. The Wi-Fi was horrible. I had to turn it off to do anything on my phone and even then I struggled. There aren’t a lot of options for the TV either. My remote didn’t work so I had to get up to power the TV on and off and I couldn’t push the numbers on the remote control, but I could push up down once I got the TV on. There is a refrigerator in the room. There’s a microwave in the lobby for guests to use and there is a sitting area in the lobby set up with tables and chairs. If you didn’t bring your own snacks, you were at the mercy of a very over expensive vending machine, unless you want to go to a local store, which there are some in the area. The hotel isn’t very far from the airport so if you’re someone that’s in and out just gonna fly out it’s a perfect location. There are a lot of fast food restaurants in the area some within walking distance and some further down the street. My favorite part of the hotel was definitely the staff. My room was clean but you could tell that some of the walls were just old and no amount of cleaning was going to fix that. The bed was comfortable. The room wasn’t really aesthetically pleasing, and there wasn’t an actual closet to put your belongings in, but there was a hanging rack in the bathroom. The walls are extremely thin and I could hear the person in the room next to me snoring. There was an altercation in the wee hours of the morning above me where people were fighting and kept me up most of the night and into the morning. I did learn the next morning that they were eventually asked to leave the premises, which was good. I can’t say enough great things about the staff. It’s not their fault that the hotel itself needs updating and maintenance. It’s always good to be treated well when you spend money even if it’s not a lot of money. The room is definitely a reasonable rate so if you’re looking for a cheap place To stay for a short period of time where you don’t plan to be in the room a lot this is a perfect place for you if you need more amenities and more decoration and more contemporary decorations, this is not the place for you. It should be noted that there were people ordering in the parking lot and there were people...
Read moreI arrived at the hotel for check-in a little after 4pm May 31 2020, upon my check in I was notified of the hotel rules and policy. I was never informed that after a certain hundred hour that the access to the hotel would be limited, and only granted access upon the entry of said security. I arrived to the hotel a quarter after 4 am, there were a few men in the south end of the Parking lot loitering, and these gentlemen started calling out to myself and my partner “come over here, beautiful” “do you smoke” just inappropriate cat calling at us. I was completely uncomfortable. As the cat calling continue I attempted to gain entry to the hotel at the south door, my keycard was not accepted/valid. My key card in fact did not work at any of the doors located on the premises. I was outside my hotel trying to gain entry for some time, I felt stranded, abandoned very uneasy. In today’s climate things of this nature should be disclosed to the guest that will be staying at the hotel, just to be aware. The lack of security did not sit well with me. That following morning I contacted the front desk I spoke with the manager regarding the concerns, and spoke with the manger and he’s lack of empathy compassion to my issues was chillen, I was shock how he handled my concerns. His blatant disregard to the things that I brought to his attention was unprofessional. Working in the hospitality industry your guest concerns should be highest level of your attention. The entire staff had an overall lack of professionalism with the exception of one. My issues were escalated to the third party booking agencies to handle my matter. Because it seemed as the staff were incompetent to accommodate me or handle my matter. I’m still at the hotel at this time. If my concerns aren’t resolved or adhere to by the third party booking agencies.(which they were not) I will have to contact the police and I feel the hotel should be held accountable for my harassment. The general manger proceeded to become conformational. Telling us that we were in and out the facility a number of (6) which is false. But as a guest I wasn’t aware that my entry and departure will be monitor. The entire stay was distasteful and was the worse hospitality I’ve never experienced or anything of this nature. And to even outer or place this hotel in the hospitality ream would be inaccurate and inappropriately labeled. I’m so displeased with my stay. I attempted to contact corporate but was hung up a number of times by the front desk. The room was immaculate, but the overall stay was terrible to...
Read moreI intended to give this hotel a 4 star review because my experience wasn’t bad until this morning. The incident was enough to sink this rating to a 2. The second star was for the morning manager who handled the situation appropriately.
Let’s start with the positives: my room was spacious and I love the overall design. It was a modern vibe and I felt comfortable. Check in was easy enough.
Room issues: The walls are thin! Your neighbors don’t have to be loud to hear what’s going on in the next room. There is also no microwave or fridge.
I was also charged for parking when my reservation granted me free parking.
Now the incident in question: I booked my reservation directly through the hotel website which guaranteed a noon check out. There is a discrepancy between the deals on the website and what shows up to the front desk staff when viewing reservations. A member of housekeeping banged on the door almost like the FBI ready to kick in the front door telling me it was time to check out. It was a little after 11 am. I politely informed her that my check out was not until noon. Less than 10 minutes later, she bangs on the door louder than the first time yelling, “I spoke to my manager, you don’t have early check out. You need to leave before it gets to 12 or they will charge you.” Let’s just say those direct quotes were the nice way of paraphrasing what she yelled.
It was EXTREMELY unprofessional. It was ghetto. Even if she was correct (she wasn’t), this was poor behavior.
I cannot in good faith recommend this place to friends, colleagues, or family. That incident sealed the deal. It didn’t even occur to her to apologize at the front desk after the incident. It defeated the purpose of a...
