Waffle House — Restaurant in Berkeley

If I could give negative stars I would as I will NEVER again visits this location! The Resturant Manager Tina has absolutely zero customer service or service skills. We walked in and we're lucky enough to score open booth, however our server, Jordan, didn't not great us for at least 10 minutes. She finally brought over flatware and took our order. It took another 10 minutes to get out drinks but of course we didn't complain. Finally our waffles come to our table but unfortunately they were cold. My boyfriend could careless because he was starving. Me, however, requested a warm waffle. Jordan brought me out another waffle that was both warm and satisfying. After we had finished our waffles we were eargerly awaiting the other items included in the All-Star Platter. Unfortunate for us that was ANOTHER 30 mins. When the other items arrived we were still missing our breakfast meats. Jordan told us it would be 5 mins on the meat... well, yet again, that 5 turned into 15 and at this point we were really just over it. I requested to speak with the manager (Tina) and had to wait another 15 mins for her to make her way from the office to our table. She began telling us that the team is behind and the best she could do is take 15% off. She didn't care listen to our grievance as my point of the complaint was both two part. 1) SEVERAL tables that were seated after us got for their food before us. 2) It took over an hour for us to get meals that were incomplete since we NEVER received our breakfast meat. Tina made it very clear that she had no desire to address the poor level of service. She walked away from the table and had Jessica tell us that she had nothing left to say and would not be coming back to talk to our table. Jordan (our waitress) began screaming over the bar and I asked her to come over and speak to me in a calm voice like I had been doing with her this entire time. Jordan lacks customer service! This was such an upsetting...

Let me say something i don’t know who the owner is or General Manager is but, overnight crew costumer service stinks, maybe a talk with the team on service. just cause you work late nights don’t mean you can should be rude. We all tired ! I ordered two all star special extra Meat + sprite. The wait wasn’t a problem i was fully aware of that but when you have to walk off not once, not twice but three times to get me the missing things for my order. And catch an attitude because i want to make sure my food is right i did pay plus tip?

Lady forgot the sprite . Then i said i was missing two waffles she brings me 1 then walks off. So i go to the other young light skin girl and said hey im missing another waffle still. She gets up said stating it coming with a frown then walk off and let the window slam hard in my face. So the first woman like what the problem I’m like I’m still missing a waffle ?? Like y’all not listening to the costumers ? I told you i was missing two waffles after you brung me my missing sprite.

Then handing me the waffles no bag ? While the other bag already pack plus thin I’m like can i have another bag? They should learn to pay attention to costumer needs.

I’m a manager at a restaurant if my team missing something for some one I’m not just about to be like “ here” handing them a fry with my hand no bag ? Not my only experience with the rudeness at this location just tonight was that night for me. great food though but I’ll travel further to the next...

Not really a big fan of eating out these day, I'm very particular about my food and how its handled and the cleanliness of the place in which I choose to dine at, I'm easily turned off by some things in the experience of dinning out. Like if I see take the waffle house for example, how they never clean up their work stations meaning the grill area, its always food slug all over the place in that area prompting me to know that since this is the behavior of the cook and his work area then I know there are bugs and when this place close at night rats running all around picking up the crumbs and dropping of food the cook didn't pick up. It always look so nasty and greasy, and when you have people just working for a check thats already low pay dude this is what you get, so enjoy all the rat droppings in your food and bugs in the ice when...
