They are alright nothing like back in the day I use to work for them years ago and kept them rooms immaculate but now when you see the owners working you know they need help floors wasn't vacuumed when I got there three light bulbs where taken I guess from the guess that had the room the day before me , chipped dresser , lipstick on the wall ,water pressure was low but I called down to the front desk and they came up and fixed everything while I was there so that was nice of them but now they charge you a $50.00 deposit in case their rooms get messed up by you and you don't get your deposit back if you mess the room up but I got my deposit back on top of the money I was charged $137.00 plus a $50.00 deposit I didn't like that at all especially when you have to pay taxes with that 137.00 for a room that had all that stuff wrong with it but again they fixed it they told me the room was $86.00 over the phone for a night with taxes but the next day i was charged $137.00 like this hotel was a beautiful room at the Drury Inn for that price I think I will go to Drury Inn next time I need a room for a night but I understand that hotel rooms have went up some of them but they don't even charge you that with a deposit at the Springdale Hotel down the road they charge you $89.00 no deposit and they clean them room and the Travelodge rooms look like the Springdale hotel rooms now they don't look nothing like they did when I worked there we had people to check the rooms before they rented them out to make sure sheets where changed and if something is on the top cover change it wash all of it and put it back on the beds vacuum the floors before you even put a guess in it looks like they are just getting over on people there and they know folks where going to get the room because people be tired and want to rest and People out here stop messing up these Hotel Room keep your room intact because the way you treat your room is a reflection on you that your nasty at home if you're messing a room up like that and hotel staff stop trying to get over on people and clean them rooms right stop being Lazy and get the job done before you charge a $50.00 fee I made sure I got my 50 dollars back and they want your your License plate make and model of your car as if it gets stolen they will replace it what's the purpose of that somebody could have dropped you off or you could be driving somebody else's car hell the address on the car might not be the address on the dam plates where you live you may be in a process of getting new plates and have a totally new address than what's on the drivers license or the plates I don't know another hotel that does that want your plate number make and model of your car do they want the plate numbers of them bikes them huffy's folks be coming up in there on what color is your Huffy Bike it don't make sense at all I'll definitely be going to another Hotel they need to change all...
Read moreDuring my stay, I encountered several issues that left me highly dissatisfied. First and foremost, the attendant's attitude was shockingly rude and unprofessional. Even borderline fraudulent. Their lack of courtesy and empathy towards my situation, given my delayed flight and late arrival, was truly astonishing. I want to emphasize the communication breakdown that occurred prior to my arrival at the Wyndham Travelodge. I took the initiative to call the Wyndham Resorts booking hotline directly and explained my situation regarding the delayed flight and my need for a room only from 5:00 a.m. to catch a few hours of sleep. Despite this, I was charged for a full day/night stay, which was both unexpected and unreasonable but I didn't really have any other options given the time and circumstances.
Upon arrival just before 5 a.m., I encountered further frustration as the rude and snappy attendant, processed my check-in at an excruciatingly slow pace. It took an entire hour until I finally got access to my room at 6 a.m., causing unnecessary delays and exhaustion.
What baffled me even more was the incorrect date on the check-in record. It stated that I arrived on the 15th, even though I checked in on the morning of the 16th and checked out on time at 11 a.m. This discrepancy raises concerns about the hotel's professionalism and transparency in its operations, which left me deeply dissatisfied with my overall experience.
I feel as if I was overcharged for a six-hour stay in a room that otherwise would have been vacant which felt like an unjustified yet unavoidable expense given the circumstances. It's disheartening when a hotel doesn't show understanding and flexibility during unexpected travel delays.
Overall, my experience at the Wyndham Travelodge in St. Louis was marred by the discourteous staff and the excessive charges, making it an unpleasant stay. I hope the management takes steps to improve their customer service and pricing policies...

Updated review after sleeping-on my hastily written original review below. My perception changed some in the light of day. This was especially true after speaking to the front desk staff this morning. It was nice to have someone listen to my concerns.
The rude overnight staff set me off and therefore I was overly critical. My early morning arrival didn't help either, but the staff's attitude made it worse.
Altered perceptions: From awful to below average. The shower was clean and spacious with a great hot shower. Though I killed a bug on the bathroom floor today. -The bed squeaked and was sunken-in, but I slept OK. -The front desk gave me more toilet paper. But until today, I've never-in-my-life had to ask for toilet paper at a motel. Parking lot was very well lit, but all the unsavory activity outside didn't make that enough.
Other notable items: I could hear conversations & the neighbors tv through the walls. Someone talking outside the window plus simply car doors closing woke me up this morning. And all this was while wearing ear plugs to bed.
Overall a rough night staying here.
Original review: Awful motel. Stay Away! Dirty. Musty smelling. Dated. Didn't feel safe or that my vehicle was safe. Rude staff when answering simple questions. Not enough toilet paper to use in the bathroom. Sketchy parking lot with loud music ALL night. Don't stay on the first floor either; the cheap windows make it feel like someone could easily break into the room. One of the worst hotel beds I've slept on. Bathroom counter was visibility dirty and the carpet & floor were absolutely gross. Wear shoes. I will not stay here again = my mistake for booking the cheapest motel for...
