Wi-Fi service is being upgraded So the further rooms away from the office you can't pick up any Wi-Fi service as you close your door Management says that the cable company or a Wi-Fi company is working on that issue but I've been here going on 3 weeks and has not been any better I've asked to move to move to a open available room closer to the office which is a non-smoking room that brings up another issue is that I'm a non-smoker and was put in a smoking room that does not make any sense Also I am in an end room to the dumpster which when overfilled the trash is laid outside my room at the end of the building which in this hot weather we've been having it smells... I've mentioned this and no results have come of it as of July 15th I am a homeless veteran and the Veteran Leadership Program has paid for my room which I am greatly grateful for, I will be asking them not to keep me placed here for another month due to the conditions I am facing at this time and if the owner reads these reviews They do not want to acknowledge to the management to move me to another room closer to the office which after the holiday 4th of July weekend non-smoking rooms have opened up and become available for my needs
This hotel has Great service and clean rooms is a plus in my eyes, also the maintenance and upkeep of the property is a big plus.
The motel has Great accessibility for walking to stores or restaurants or anything...
Read moreWe were looking to stay an extra day in Pennsylvania, moving up from Gettysburg to the Altoona area. For some reason the chain hotels in and around Altoona were priced high (incongruously). We ended up booking this old style motel based on Booking.com reviews but based on the low price didn't really know what to expect.||The property is well kept. Outside of the drapes, which could use an update, everything is in great repair or new and very, very clean (the plethora of white pleated lampshades in the room, every one immaculate, is the final test - there's nothing harder to keep clean than pleated cloth lampshades). Fridge and microwave in room as well as toiletries (more than we got at lodging with more stars this trip - they've all gone to dispensers or use packets). Bed was comfortable. Pink tile in bathroom (circa 1955) lends that really retro air, but with new sink and granite counter...the owners really are keeping the place up.||Tea and coffee, along with bottled water, in the office in the morning (along with a very unique hodgepodge of mini muffins, gelatins, puddings, candy and snack cakes).||We also chose the motel because it is pet friendly. Really, if you just want comfortable and clean, a good night's sleep...it sure beats paying twice as much for just about the same thing (minus...
Read moreThis motel was by a job site that I was working on and I needed some place to stay over night. They had a king room available and it came with a kitchenette, microwave and refrigerator. The fridge wasn't very cold, there weren't any pans to cook with, and the air conditioner was just a wall mounted kind. They talk about WiFi, but then there isn't a thing about it posted anywhere in the room. For the price, it was sort of worth it, but there are just somethings, like, the ice machine not working and I mention it to the old guy who was working and he didn't know what to tell me or the fact that I booked a smoking room and then when I get here, they tell me there aren't any smoking rooms...I don't know, a bit shady to me. Not to mention that the shampoo they provide said it expired in "2017" right on it and the towels had hairs all over them and felt like using toilet paper when it got wet. Plus, when I went to the front desk to confront all my issues in the a.m, I dealt with this lady who blamed all the issues on the owner and had no opportunity to talk with them or any resolution on my issues, except give me...
