I was so excited when BobaTea came to Duncansville. No more driving 45 minutes for good milk tea at their Altoona location. This location is stunning. They did such a fantastic job on the interior. I tried their tiramisu coffee and added tapioca pearls. It was fantastic - not too sweet and the perfect “pick me up”. I was also SO excited to try their thai food as it’s one of my favorite cuisines. I do have to say I was a little disappointed. I got Tom Yum Noodle Soup with steamed chicken, but it was missing so many of the ingredients and veggies it listed. The only veggie in my bowl was bok choy. It wasn’t spicy, only sour. It also had peanuts, which wasn’t listed as an ingredient. It was during their first week of opening, so it could’ve been due to that. I would like to give their food another try in the future.

I ordered Tom Yum soup with chicken and steamed dumplings. The steamed chicken in the Tom Yum soup wasn’t that great. It was steamed, I suspect, without any seasoning at all, and it tasted as you might think plain steamed chicken would taste. And that came through even in the broth. The broth was very good, but I was disappointed that the soup only had a little bit of bok choy and no other vegetables. The steamed dumplings were delicious. I received very friendly service. This restaurant has a nice bright clean atmosphere. I got my food to go, but I would’ve happily sat and dined-in if I had the time. There are several things that are unavailable that I’d be interested in ordering… the super clean salads sounded interesting.

I’m in town just for one day and randomly came in for some Boba tea, ended up ordering food as well because it looked good. So glad we did !! Honestly one of the best Pad Thai dishes I’ve ever had. The noodles were amazing and had so much flavor. My daughter had the Thai Fried rice and said it was the best she’s ever had as well! Service was also great they were so friendly. Highly recommend. ** update** I’ve been home for a week and still dream about this Pad Thai dish considering if a six hour drive is really that bad LOL**
