There is no polite way to say how my "stay" was at the Denver North. We booked the room. Shortly after we drove straight to the hotel. My girlfriend got out after parking by the front entrance to go check in while I waited. No issues checking in, she got into our vehical again keys in hand, she drove to the back entrance where she was told would be the most convenient entrance to get to our room. Parked the car, we stayed, not doing anything but finishing up my casino online game while we waited for a man who was talking to himself to move from the front of our car, because it's ok to use precautions when dealing with people with a severe mental illness, right? or am I wrong? So we waited patiently, no rush. That's when our car lit up completely blinding us. I turned to see what was going on and 2 patrol vehical with the Brighton police department had parked behind us blocking us in unable to leave. They approached our vehical and asked what we were doing sitting in our car , that they had been watching us and we were acting suspect. And since this was a well known (not to us obviously) drug area we seemed suspicious. We told them we just pulled in back less than 5 min prior to them blinding us, they said well where is your key card then. So we showed them. They asked our names, which we gave them.( Won't ever do that again if I don't have to) At this point I'm irritated and asked if we were being detained? He said that yes we were. I asked what crime have we committed ? He said he didn't know yet, that's what he was trying to figure out.... completely illegal by the way. He ran my gf name it came back CLEAR, the officer then stated, " there's no way your clear, I'm going to have them run it again!! And he did . The second time she came back with a warrant out of las Vegas, which was impossible. We argued with them that they have the wrong chick, the other officer then proceeded to rip the cigarette from my mouth and tell me I had one as well. ( Impossible) After a long while of harassment and illegal searches we were booked on our bogus warrants out of las Vegas and held till morning for court. During court we were released on our bogus warrants because they said that las Vegas didn't want to pursue charges and dismissed them and we were released. The hotel, the next day, when I asked for the security camera footage of us that night tearing up our car and arresting us, he showed me a black car like mine parked back right where we were parked , except it was not our car , it was not us. And he said that was the only car all night out back the night we were arrested. To this day he has no given me any footage of the arrest and the cops continue to lie to cover up their illegal conduct. DO NOT STAY HERE . PLAIN AND SIMPLE . IF YOU LIKE 2 HOTS AND A COT BY ALL MEANS...BUT I WOULDN'T. I still have PTSD from that nightmare. I gave a single star for the rooms which is to high since I never even was able to put my bags away after checking in. That's how quickly this was executed. Oh one more thing, we have a 14 year old sick Chihuahua that's always with us , they left the dog locked in the car until someone showed up to get it , didn't know who was taking our dog or our car and released in and out dog no questions asked. Our dog was traumatized to say the least and...
Read moreThis hotel is really dated and looks run down inside and out, kind fits in with industrial area that it's in. There is absolutely no restraunts near by,I mean nothing. Applebees is 9 miles away. This hotel does offer breakfast, scrabble eggs and waffles seem to be the main course. You make the waffles yourself. The dinning area seats about 15 to 20 people. Good luck getting a seat. In addition the room refrigerator was not very cold and iced up, and looked kind of old. The room A/C smelled when turned on. The room lighting was a kind of dark. This hotel does have a pool but it looked dirty so I changed my mind on swimming.
When you walk into the hotel you will notice the that the hallways and elevator have poor lighting. The entire hotel needs better lighting and fixtures. I noticed there is no security at this hotel either, which bring to mind the vagrants near by so lock your car doors and remove anything inside. The parking lot is strange, it's one way in and out with a Jersey concrete barrier. reminds me of U.S. Army building security In the middle east. That barrier is blocking the rear lot from one side of the building, so there is only one entry and exit into the rear parking lot. This hotel has one double entry door in the front. You cannot enter the hotel any other way. All other doors in the hotel are exits. I'm very sure that is because of the vagrants. There is an exit by the pool from the inside that exits to the rear parking lot, but it can not be used as an entry into the building as I thought. So , you have to walk around the entire hotel to get to the front door as with any of the exists. I would not suggest waking in that parking lot at night by yourself because of the vagrants in the near by lot. Access for the disabled will be hard with this hotel. For some reason this hotel reminds me of the buildings the u.s. military used in Iraq. Just add some check point personal and your in the green...
Read moreSpent the night here on vacation after getting through Denver's insane traffic because of the location. My lady was rushing me the next morning and I forgot my RFID passport/money belt in the nightstand. Didn't realize this fact until I was at the Nebraska state line. Immediately called and the desk lady was helpful in looking for the item even keeping me on the phone as she went to the room. She said that she notified her manager... FINE!!! I drove all of the way back to spend another night in the same room so I could look for myself and check the dumpster, to no avail. Upon checking out and meeting the manager he stated nothing had been turned in. He also said that his cleaning lady had been with him for 6 years and never stolen anything. Well there's always a first time for everything. This is the type of business that people are always leaving items behind. I AM NOT BLAMING THE ESTABLISHMENT!!! HOWEVER, there is that little thing about being a good Samaritan. Ethics, Morals, Honesty, Consequences and KARMA!!! I looked online for Colorado laws regarding lost and found and found nothing. I can only blame myself for this horrible event but... Seems to me that an amount of cash with no personal information attached... Is a easy target đŻ for a housekeeper. The manager seemed indifferent to my peril. So be it!!! To whomever found it... You are a dishonest snake đ and a puke đ€ą!!! (must censor my real words here) Merry Christmas MF
I DON'T LEAVE REVIEWS OFTEN BUT THIS EXPERIENCE HAS LEFT ME WITH A SOUR THOUGHT OF COLORADO... ONE BAD APPLE SPOILS THE REST!!! SO THE SAYING GOES.
HARD...
