Spicy Tacos — Restaurant in Brighton

Got a bunch of food delivered tonight and was not really impressed. Starting with the Vegetable fajitas... if I were to score these on their own it would be a 2. Good selection of veggies but absolutely no seasoning or flavor. Very disappointing. Decent sized portion but the lack of flavor negated the size. Also got the chicken taco salad. Also sub par. There was literally little to no lettuce at all. Chicken was tender but also lacked seasoning and flavor. Also a 2. The chicken fajita nachos were good though. Lots of toppings not so many chips. Had to add some salsa to make it tastier. The green salsa was also very bland, luckily the red salsa was good though. It's got a nice citrus/vinegar base that added a little bite to the nachos that they were originally lacking. Now for the star if the show... the chicken mole. The mole sauce is fantastic!! Very flavorful. Slight sweetness in a smoky and spice base. Tender chicken and the portion size is more than enough!! Saved the meal from being completely disappointing. Would definitely get the mole again! 5 stars! We also got the taco plate which was good. Couldn't really tell which taco was which but none of them were bad. Friday Night, we were a part of 9. They told us 45 min wait. Totally fine, Honestly, we all workout at the gym across the restaurant and we wanted to hang out, eat and have a good time. Well, don’t do it here at Spicy Tacos because you will find rude bartenders that have no idea how to treat a customers on busy nights. She was rude to us, upset that we wanted to sit at the bar while waiting for a table and guess what she told us that if she serve us drinks, we had to go drink them outside in the rain and cold by our vehicles.: “Totally legal right” but I feel that this only happens when you leave your restaurant with kids that have no idea what they are doing. Please train them, it’s so easy to be kind, specially the bartender that acted so bothered by our presence, they even made us wait outside in the cold and rain while they stare at us from the inside, while allowing two gentlemen that were waiting too inside. However, they didn’t have to courage to tell them to go wait outside and do what they did to us. Mind you we were only 4 waiting because the others were waiting at the gym. I don’t remember been treatly so poorly by restaurant staff before. We were very nice didn’t make a scene and took our business to Lupita Mexican restaurant were we spent $$$ on drinks and food all together. This place is a good, traditional Mexican restaurant and food. Good service and friendly staff.

There's a notice on the door saying that they had to increase their prices due to increased cost. It's very long and not readable in the time it takes to enter the restaurant.

If you are a long time patron of the place you will likely know that the menu prices are not accurate due to the price increase.

As a first time customer I discovered this when I received my check and one of the items was more than on the menu.

While I understand menus are very expensive to print. A black and white paper copy with the new prices would not have been an affordable solution to this problem and allow someone like myself to have made budget friendly choices when ordering.

As I said, it was my first time being there, so I would not have known that the prices on the menu were the old prices. I attempted to read the note on the door, but it was too much information to read prior to entering the restaurant.

This information could also have been shared with me by the server.

Thankfully this week having my tab be more than anticipated wasn't a problem, but there are times when it can be and it is important to have accurate pricing available.
