This hotel served our needs (altho too fully booked to extend one night) as we were in town for disaster relief and clean up for family members 2 hours away (four hours of total driving every day and LONG days of work besides). It is clean, the room was cold at night (good thing in 100-degree heat during the day), the staff was sweet (altho a bit shy about talking at all) and helpful as much as possible. However, the hot breakfast was missing on Day 1 and all that was left was carb-loaded breads and sugar-filled yogurt. No discount offered or voucher for a nearby restaurant, even though the hot breakfast is part of the reason we book the Hampton whenever possible...and it is part of the justification for a higher room price. And the buffet closed promptly at 9am. Some people do not wake up hungry and would prefer to actually get showered, dressed and packed (if leaving) before coming to breakfast. We saw many people stagger in, bleary-eyed, in their pajamas and with bed head, just to pick through the leftovers in the last 5 minutes. NO SIGNAGE for the breakfast hours were posted. Also we NO HOUSEKEEPING during our stay: no cleaning of the bathroom, no refreshing towels (after working in the heat and grime all day, it was necessary, believe me), no emptying the garbage, no vacuuming the carpets, etc., supposedly because the COVID protocols are for "health and sanitation reasons", but no cleaning at all for 4 nights would seem to be a much bigger health risk, don't you think? The protocols designed by a governmental entity are arbitrary and inconsistent; the same protocols are not applied at hospitals where literally DOZENS/HUNDREDS of extremely ill COVID patients are receiving housekeeping on a daily basis and are in close contact with the staff. Ditto restaurant servers, grocery store employees, and other service locations. These protocols and policies need to be updated and made realistic, especially in areas where people are already exhausted, overwhelmed and in need of "the extra...
Read moreI booked a month in advanced and the day of my arrival I get a call that there is a water pressure issue on the 4th floor and the issue is being fixed and should be done the next day by 9am. They sent us to the best western for the night we were exhausted so fine we go. In the morning the front desk told me your rates will be adjusted because best western was cheaper than Hampton (this was not done). I call Hampton and they said well your room won’t be ready until after 11 (clearly someone lied) I get there the manager is super disrespectful and telling me to not give her an attitude because she won’t give me a room at all!! Then tells me to cancel my stay through Expedia so she can give me a different hotel I didn’t do this (because if I cancel they would not be liable for my room) so because I had limited options I decide to wait for a room when I finally got one I requested my room to be serviced the next day and they told me it couldn’t be serviced unless I requested it the day prior (the manager told me it could get serviced whenever I wanted) and I did request it in advanced but they couldn’t find the “note”. The power went out the 3rd day for a couple of hours and according to the staff it happens quite often. My 18 year old was kicked out of the gym before closing hours (she didn’t even ask him for an ID just said get out) our last night the front desk was recording our group in the lobby children included. This hotel was a nightmare I will never book here ever again because of their mistake (overbooking)I didn’t have a full day of hotel that was paid for a whole mo in advanced and had to keep my luggage in the car and they said my stay didn’t start until 3 pm the day after my booking date on Expedia they are rude disrespectful they refused to reimburse me and have refused my review!! DO NOT...
Read moreI work for fema, and I stayed at this hotel multiple times. Had multiple encounters with Brittany. I stay at hotels 90% of the year. So I understand when things happen and people aren't sure how to deal with it. But, I have personally seen and been one of those guests that has encountered Brittany.. with her attitude, and just no remorse, or feel for how a guest might feel. No care. The only way I know to describe it is INHOSPITABLE. I really don't understand how she's made it this far in the Hospitality industry. She's got huffy with my all because I've asked her front desk to help me out sometimes printing things. She mentioned to the front desk "I dont know why he comes up here like that. Next time tell him there's a walgreens around the corner and a office depot up the road." She yelled at her staff for helping me print some things for work.. instead of making me walk across the highway to a walgreens to pay them to print a couple sheets of paper.||I just.. 1/10 WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!!!!!|| Nothing at this hotel is exceptional. One or two workers are hospitable. But with the encounter you will have to make with Brittany, it's not even worth saving the extra $20 to stay closer. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY FOLKS. Half the time the A/c doesn't work... and the staff could care less. THE MANAGER could...
