I paid $80 for a room with two beds. I entered property and some lady that works at the hotel came up to us being very rude. Telling us that if we didn’t see the sign not to come into the property. My mom and went to the office and the lady told my mom that she was acting very suspicious. We were in our room for an hour and left to go pick some stuff up. I left the key at the front office not knowing that if we would leave it we can’t go back into our room. I called to tell them I was going back and the manager or owner said I can get my key back. I go back to the hotel to pick my key up and the lady that was being rude said we can’t get the key back even though through the phone the manager said I can get the key back. Anyways I called the manager and he told me that I can’t get it and that we were acting suspicious in OUR room. How do they know what we are doing inside the room? They have cameras everywhere around the property. I am pretty sure they have cameras in the room then saying that we were just looking out of the room and “spying on someone” At the end the manager didn’t want to give me my $80 Don’t go to this hotel if you want privacy!! And they are also SUPER rude. Terrible management. And not to mention there was a blood stain on our bed that...
Read moreBorn and raised in Brownsville, I like to stay here when I come back to visit my friends and family. The city has grown immensely in the past few years, and so to has the hustle and bustle. The Pecan Tree Motel offers up a peaceful slice of what the valley used to be like in its more easy-going days. The amenities are more than adequate, especially at this price point, but the service is what pushes this motel ahead of other choices. The property manager is a very sweet lady and she treats everyone like family. The rooms are recently renovated and smartly decorated. The feeling is minimalist and modern. The property grounds are green and inviting. For a family looking to house the troops and save some cash with a picnic or two, I'd highly recommend The Pecan Tree. There are more modern choices up the road, but you end up stuck looking at and listening to the noises of the shopping centers nearby. For peacefulness and quality night's rest, give The Pecan Tree Motel a try. Also, a limited selection of soft drinks and beer are available for purchase at the front desk, and the air conditioning is nice and chilly, a necessity to beat the Valley heat. Thanks...
Read moreThe lady in the front was rude and disrespectful. I have never experienced something even remotely close before. My wife was getting special treatment done at a nearby hospital and we were staying at this hotel. Our family was under extreme stress and anxiety due to the delicate procedure. We used up all of toilet paper due to her condition. When we went back to the hotel she accused us of stealing the toilet paper and suggested we go to "our type of hotel in downtown." When I asked to speak to the owner she said that she was the owner. We left and checked in to motel 6 on the expressway. We were treated with respect and the room was nicer for $3 more. Check the reviews before you check in. It will save you the...
