It looked decent from the outside parking lot but quickly became apparent that was not the case. The “lobby” is not inviting. To check in, I spoke to a lady behind a glass wall with only a little slit to pass my card and id though. Next to her was a secured door. This made me feel anxious and unsafe. ||We got up to our room which overlooked a dirt patch full of trash and a wall full of graffiti. Behind that was the highway. ||The room looked like a typical dirty run-down room that, in movies, a serial killer would murder you in. The bathroom was small but useful in that I was able to use the toilet (which so kindly had a “sanitized” paper on it, though who knows if that’s accurate). The shower I refused to use. As I opened the soap to wash my hands, I couldn’t find a trash can to throw away the wrapped. Yep, no trash can in the room. The bed was a king, which was nice, enough room for my dogs to sleep without pushing me off the bed. I, however, refused to get under the covers choosing instead to sleep on top of the covers wrapped in a blanket I brought with me. We got no sleep that night as our wonderful wall-sharing neighbors decided to have head board banging sex at 1, 3, and 6am. We promptly checked out a 7 and haven’t looked back.||Oh, and the windows had bars across them. On the second floor.||Moral of the story: While they allow dogs, stay away. Far, far, away.||If your wondering why we choose to stay after seeing the condition the place was in, it’s because I made reservations on the phone and secured with a cc. And they will not give money back for cancellations within a 24hour period of your stay. Probably because no one...
Read moreI didn't expect anything fancy as this is a Motel 6, which is known for no frills lodging. We were only staying one night and it was the most inexpensive place I could find. That being said, if I'm paying for a place to sleep, I expect to be able to sleep. The beds were extremely uncomfortable. It felt like they wrapped some foam around a board and called it a bed. The neighbors kept us up for awhile with the headboard knocking against the wall. The ice machine on our floor was broken, so we had to go down one floor to get ice. That's not a big deal, but it made things a bit more difficult since we had children & I didn't feel comfortable leaving them in the room alone. I was not about to wander around the property without my husband. It's not in the best area. It was nice to have a mini fridge, but the microwave didn't work very well. This location's saving grace is the friendly staff. Check in was smooth & the housekeeper we encountered as we were leaving the next morning...
Read moreThis was my first time staying at motel 6, I went because suggested by a friend because I was told that the locations are nice, clean and at a good price. The price was ok however the place was horrible, the stairs that were taking to the room were smelling like pee and one night coming back from LA we found them all full of pee, the room had a very strong smell of cigarette. The towels were provided were dirty and I had to ask for more, one night I found a cockroach walking on the wall in the bathroom. I took there my parents 71 and 63 and they were very disappointed with me. I do Airbnb in my house and I give a super service and I know where the basic hotels rules are but this place is very terrible. FYI we stayed at the room 313. Will be never back agin. I have another reservation for the upcoming weekend in san diego but I am considering...
