Stopped by today to try the ciders and meads. Most were pretty good and I recommend the flights to get a sample of everything. Pretty good food is available as well. There were two women working at the bar/register area today, and running food out to the patio. One was excellent, and attentive. The other seemed a bit standoffish and I overheard giving the other bartender a hard time for things like being too young to remember whatever movie was on the TV. I'm sure in regular times they would both be a delight to get service from, but in the dark ages we're in now controlled by COVID-19, everyone should be held to the same standards. Those standards are posted at the entrances, in the restrooms, etc and say that a mask must be worn at all times. Today at about 5:40pm when closing my tab the employee at the POS device completely removed her mask, exclaimed "mask break!" and mused about how she just can't deal with it all day. I had observed similar behavior earlier, but it was far from customers, but still behind the bar, so I was wary of her to begin with. I was only a few feet away from her, and we were facing each other, so I asked her to not do that near me, and she covered her mouth and sarcastically breathed heavily in my direction. Now look, I understand that some people do not believe COVID-19 is a big deal, or that masks work, or whatever, but the point of this post is that the rules are posted for everyone, and employees should be held to the same standard. The County of Los Angeles Public Health Department would agree with this, and has been informed. I invite the owner/manager to check the CCTV of this interaction somewhere around 5:40PM 10/31/2020....
Read moreThis place is pretty cool. Their cider is delicious and it's nice that they keep rotating the taps so that the customers can try different things. I also really enjoyed the apple brandy! Too expensive for me to buy a bottle but it was nice to get a glass while I was there. The space is pretty casual, it's kind of like hanging out in your friend's garage and drinking cider. They welcome outside food and I've also brought my own board games to pass the time. Movie nights are sort of hit or miss. I've been there a couple of times when they don't play a movie at all or play a completely different movie. I think that should be addressed. I didn't mind it that much since I dont usually stay for the whole movie. The pizza is a nice touch! Really appreciate that. The customer service is also hit or miss. The majority of times I've felt welcomed but there's maybe one or two guys that are not as enthusiastic about greeting customers and creating a fun environment. That's why I gave them 4 stars instead of five.
Tl:dr cider: delicious Movies: hit or miss but free pizza is appreciated Service: also hit or miss but...
Read moreWe came back again; a year after our last visit. The bartender was very nice. She gave us a tasting of 3 different ciders. We settled on the Wipeout; the high and dry apple champagne. It was the one out of the four tasting ciders that did not taste perfumery and did not leave to much of a chemical aftertaste. The upstairs, seating is very enjoyable. It even features a foosball table.

2022 Good place for buying and enjoying a glass of cider; in a somewhat industrial setting.
Outdoor seating os available ; as of March 2022.
We keep coming back for drinks but not so much for the grilled food: Pork sliders and coleslaw were nicely presented. However, the taste was reminiscent of home grilling in a not so good way; bad fumes seemed to have soaked into the meat. The coleslaw was bland and dry.
Maybe, I will try the Poke next time? Other customers have raved about it.
COVID-19 precautions seem to be fairly relaxed for now; more so than in other places we visited (as of...
