READ BEFORE STAYING HERE. I had an ATROCIOUS experience here. its quiet simple actually. We called and reserved a room over the phone with my brothers card. We arrived late Friday (pretty much early saturday) at around 130am. they were having trouble authorizing our card (weve now been waiting about 40 minutes) so we decided to pay in cash. We told the cashier that welcomed us (who was very nice. new employee) we wanted ONE room for ONE night for my mom. and another room for TWO nights for my brother and I. we payed her in cash which my brother then verified with her "our room is good for two nights.. until Sunday morning on the 5th correct"? which she verified with us. I clarify this because of what comes next. It is now Saturday night. we are exhausted on top of dealing with some terrible heartbreaking family matters that brought us to town. I cant sleep so I go down for some ice about 230AM. I ask the front clerk where it is. he follows me into the ice room and ask me if I am staying in this specific room which I am. he then says to me at 230AM "do you have a minute, could you follow me"? I do and he proceeds to tell me they have NO record of accepting payment for our rooms. We tell him simply we have payed and give him a confirmation number. during this entire eteraction this man who i beleive his name is jeremy now.. is being extremely extremely rude. laughing and smirking at us in disbelieve..we give him our confirmation number and go back to bed. all good right? no. Now this man comes up to my door at 8am in the morning (check out is at 12) BANGING on our door. waking us up saying we do not have record of your payment . He then threatens us saying that there is a sheriff downstairs waiting for our payment!!! my brother then says "we have to have family pick us up to go pull out money we were dropped off here" which this man pretty much laughs at. I go down and ask for the sheriff and there wasn't one.. he lied. He then calls some manager lady and hands the phone to me.. this lady does NOT know whats happening to me only what he has told her in the few seconds he had her. She begins yelling at me over the phone to leave her property (without even asking me whats going on)EVEN THOUGH WE GAVE THESE PEOPLE OUR MONEY.. he then says we have 5 minutes to leave EVEN THOUGH we are trying to get the money to them (which is extra on top of what we payed for the two nights) but he refuses and says we have to leave 4 hours before checkout.. my brother goes in trying to reason with him. he sees a scab on my brothers finger and he interrupts him and says "sir your bleeding all over my counter".. he was not bleeding at all. it was a scab. at this point we completely give up in disbelieve.. and are forced to drive 8 hours back home on very very little sleep.. I come in to town on some terribly tragic family news and this is the hospitality Holiday Inn gave us. I have never once left a review anywhere. I am in utter disbelieve of our experience. Read moreApril 10, 2019, my fiancé wanted me to book a King bed Jacuzzi room at Holiday Inn Express & Suite in Center, TX. It was for April 20 – 21, 2019 Easter weekend visiting family mostly my mom. I was raised in East Texas I rarely get to go home to see my family due to my daughter. I am a mom of a Special needs’ child with over 10 medical challenges. My family knows that I don’t get a break very often from my daughter because of her medical challenges. They were willing to keep her for the night so I could have some Respite time (we call it). The day of check in I get a call that morning around 8:45 am saying our King bed Jacuzzi room is no longer available. I’m like what you mean I book it online and it was available and you telling me it not available. The lady tells me she is sorry, and she can give me extra rewards points. That didn’t mean nothing to me I don’t spend that much time in a hotel like I use too. They could of call early in the week before and we could have made other arrangement. I was so upset and yes, I am one of those moms that don’t get a break to herself overnight very often. I did call corporate and they weren’t much help and they only gave extra reward points also. They put me a room on hold that had a King bed Jacuzzi room in another town that 45 minutes away from where I was booked. One thing I can say it wasn’t meant for my fiancé and I to have that room there. He was upset for me as well he even calls corporate and I didn’t know he called. He knows how much I go through taking care of my daughter and with myself. He wanted me to have this just as much and he was so much disappointed. We were downgraded to King Suite after that we check in and it didn’t matter, we went and visit my mom and family and came in later that night. I will say the breakfast was nice and the lady over it was very nice. To make things worse I get a call the next week about a towel with a stain in it and they couldn’t get it out. They charge my card $5.00 they said it should have been $16.00. I have stay at 100’s of hotel some of the highest, the lowest and stayed weeks at a time. This is the first I’ve ever been through this and I have asked my friends about have they been through this they said no. My next hotel stay will be May 10, in Arlington, TX its for a conference to help future of my daughter and other Special needs parent that couldn’t attend. I will be taking my daughter and caregiver. I had booked my room through IGH so I could earn rewards again for future conference and events. Now it doesn’t matter about the rewards. They can keep their rewards.
