Ivan Smith Furniture — Local services in Center

Ethan, the salesman, was great. I was unsure of the couch I wanted and he was very patient and knowledgeable about all of their products. Unfortunately, the console for the couch was not in stock and had to be delivered separately. There were issues with communication and availability. So, it took a week for the remaining piece of the couch to arrive.

The delivery gentlemen were kind, efficient, and careful in my home when setting up the sectional. It had very heavy motorized recliners in three sections, and they did a fantastic job.

The young lady that works the desk at the local store was rude, short, and made a small issue of delivery a major issue with her attitude. While in the store during the purchase, she was neither kind, nor rude, but the subsequent phones call were unprofessional due to her disposition.

I did express my disappointment with the poor customer service from America in a phone call about delivery with Josh, but no follow up was done. Because of this, we won’t be returning and will shop another vendor for our next purchases when renovating our office space next month.

We received our delivery a day earlier than promised which was a very nice surprise, but unfortunately the mattress did not get on the truck with the bed, which was okay, things like that happen. We were promised it would be taken care of and that it would be delivered to us in a couple of days. We called the store and I think it was Marie who answered the phone, and we asked her about what time our mattress was arriving that day as promised. She told us we received our mattress with our bed delivery. She could use some pr training, or perhaps she was having a bad day. We were then put on the phone with Andrew, he promised we would have our mattress that day one way or the other. Andrew is always incredible to us!!! He is one of the main reasons we continue to shop there. Anyway about 5 pm, we figured okay we weren't getting it today. Then we heard a knock on our door. My furniture came in a timely manner and the delivery men were super nice, careful, and had the furniture put together quickly. One of the guys realized I had not ordered boxsprings for the beds. It was getting around closing time, but I called the store anyway to order two boxsprings. The people there were so friendly, and found me two new boxsprings in the store. Even though it was after closing time, they delivered the boxsprings to me that day anyway. I cannot say enough praises for the service at Ivan Smith Furniture in Center, Texas.
