The staff was the best part of the hotel stay! The first room we were put in had a busted door frame and was missing the door lock latch. It had an extremely overpowering smell of cleaner and caused some breathing issues. It only had 1 lamp in the entire room, the carpet was coming up, and was missing furniture. The man who checked us in was kind enough to move us to another room right next door. This room was much better as it had more lights and a chair etc. The shower curtain was very dirty and definitely needs to be taken down! The towels were clean but need to be replaced with ones that do not have stains on them. The toilet rocked when you sat on it and also made a crazy noise after you flushed it. The exhaust fan also made a terrible noise when you cut it on and off. The carpet in the hallways could use some updating as it was old and faded. The hallways also could use some new paint. Also the smell of strong scented cleaners lingered in the hallway and created some breathing issues. Housekeeping only had 1 on duty and our room was not cleaned during our stay. However she did knock on the door to ask if we wanted service, since we were in the room we declined and just asked for trash removal and fresh towels. She was very kind and helpful. On our last night there my husband smelled someone smoking marijuana downstairs near the staircase that we needed to access our room. We were in town for a funeral and needed to be in Centerville otherwise we would have checked out and stayed in another town. But given the situation and how exhausted we were from a long trip we decided to just make the most of it. I think with some proper updates and maintenance to the hotel it would be a better stay. Also investing in locking exterior doors that are only accessible with an active hotel key would have made me feel safer at night. There are places to eat around the hotel and we quite enjoyed Homestead Restaurant just down the street and having the Sonic right there...
Read moreUnfortunately, this location has been declining for years. I’d called to make a reservation being a member and I do travel a lot. I immediately found out that I was being dispatched somewhere else I called back couldn’t get through. Couldn’t get to the front desk. The menu kept bringing me back for cancellation And wouldn’t let me connect. Finally, I called member services. They couldn’t help me saying I booked the room the day before. I told him no that’s wrong. I did it two hours ago. They didn’t give me another number. I called them and they said they can’t cancel it now. I understand if they want to hit me with a fee I get it but now there’s two rooms being paid in full. That will be empty tonight. So how can you get a hold of somebody if you needed them there you won’t. If you had a question on anything, who can you call you can’t. Unfortunately I will no longer be a choice. Member or choose to stay at this location again or any other location. I hope you guys do well with the two rooms I booked keep the money you’re gonna need it. sadly, if there was zero stars, I would’ve left it. Keep your money go to another town like Hohenwald Parsons or Springhill. Don’t go to this location. And if you ask the locals, they’ll take to stay off the second floor do some research on that why. now, if you choose to contact me back through this application and tell me, it’s an isolated incident and we’re sorry we couldn’t help you. I don’t wanna hear it. Just fix your policies. That’s what I wanna say. heaven forbid if you break down on the way there, they still charge your card. Once they got your money, they are not getting it back. What do you wanna bet that this location is foreign owned? Can’t wait to this place goes out of business. I’ll celebrate it thoroughly. i’ll probably leave some reviews on the other sites as well. Thank you guys for stealing money. Never once were we told you’re gonna...
Read moreQuality Inn, what a disappointment. Upon arriving, there was a pull-behind trailer as you drove up and new carpet rolls just outside the front doors. Clearly, renovation would be happening soon. However, the carpet flanked the opening (they could have fallen as there was nothing around it), and there wasn't even a caution sign. Once going inside, the first thing I noticed was how dark it was. There were no lights on in the lobby, and yet there was a gentleman in there with the TV on. The lights were on at the front desk. The smell hit next; it smelled like a Fabulouso bottle had been dumped it was so strong. The bright side is that it was clean, but not without side effects. |After getting my room key, I headed in. The smell overtook that room, too. I was physically ill at this point and had to use the bathroom. I looked around the room, and there was a hole in the wall near the window, damage on other parts of the wall as well. The drain in the sink was just a hole, no blocker, so you could easily drop something down the sink and lose it. |I couldn't stay there. I am extremely smell sensitive, and strong scents trigger my migraines with me, which will have me down for days at a time. I spoke to the front desk agent about the smell (Pine-Sol, apparently, not Fabulouso) and she offered another room. If the scent was that bad in the lobby and the room I went into, clearly that scent would be throughout the hotel as that is the cleaning agent they use. I booked a night at a different hotel and told her that, as there was no way I could stay. |As I loaded my things back into my vehicle that is when I noticed the broken glass on one of the hotel room windows. Safety is a concern at this point - the hole in the wall, the broken glass. No thank you. |The positive is that the front desk agent was...
