Save A Lot — Local services in Centerville

I used to frequent this store alot when they first moved there.it was awesome,inexpensive and the staff was very helpful...that being said my recent visits were a little different. They are now just as expensive as any grocery chain. Two separate instances I asked the meat man to slice some meat for me. His reply was"I'll do it after my break "then on his way back he rushed past me acting like he couldn't hear or see me then disappeared through a door behind the meat.the second time he was at least kind enough to tell me he didn't have time.the cashiers and managers are pleasant. The store was clean. My main problem with this place was alot of the items I looked at and considered were not labeled in English. I didn't buy a couple things I wanted simply because it looked like what I was looking for but I wasn't a hundred percent it was what I was looking for. One entire aisle was labeled in Spanish. On the bright side you will never meet nicer people and they still do have some decent prices. You don't have to worry about the meat like you used to.everything is pretty much fresh. I may have been a little nit picky about the labeling but I do hope they got a new meat man by now.im I'd definitely go back. Its a good place to shop. I want to say something about the stores of SAVE A LOT , the one in Dickson tenn. I was shocked to know they closed their door . I was crushed. Truly I cried. I sit there .looking at the empty store and cried like a baby. It's like a slap in the face 😭😭😭😭 This store has been around since a was a very young girl. I think the down fall was when they didn't bag the groceries and sold the bags. Senior citizens can't handle this well. That was a problem. My heart is truly broken. There are some of us that need a discount store here. We will really miss this store. I'm 66. And I know I was 12 and we shopped there. And I even shopped there when my kids were babies. Please don't close your doors, their are some people that need this store. The way it was before the change. Smh I can't believe they just up and closed 😭😭😭😭Love...

Although I live in Hickman County I live 20+ miles from this store. More than once I have bought meat there that was gorgeous on top only to get home to find it rancid on the sides and underneath. As soon as I opened the package I could smell it. I paid $4.99 a pound for stew meat only to find it unusable. I will NEVER buy meat there again and suggest you think twice as well. Even if they would give a refund I’m not driving 40 miles round trip to get my $6.00 back. From now on I’ll buy my meat elsewhere. I’ve bought bad roast and chops. I’ve learned my lesson for sure. What good is the 5 for $20.00 deal if the meat is bad....
