I ordered chicken nachos, the waitress started by asking me if I want chicken or de "carnitas". I looked at her and asked, "What's better? I am not from here.". The waitress replied, "The carnitas", so I told her, "then I'll have carnitas". When she brought the food we looked at it and noticed that there was no chips anywhere, instead it had a lot of rice. The waitress had disappeared. I started telling myself, "this can't be what I ordered." Well, we waited for the waitress to come back, and asked her, "Is this chicken nachos"? She replied, "Yes". We asked "then where are the chips?" She, replied, "Oh, that's not your order." She took it to the kitchen and came back with the right food. When I started eating, it was just horrible and I couldn't eat it. It was so salty that it looked like I was eating salt out of a salt container. I didn't eat anything else, I just drank my big glass of water. When the waitress passed by, we asked for a to go box. She brought it. We had the intention of just throwing the food in the dumpster. Well, when she brought the bill, she charged more for my meal than what the menu said. After waiting a few minutes, the waitress came back to our table and I talked to her about the over charge. She started arguing with me about it. She said that what she suggested me to order was more than what I ordered. I told her that she never informed me about the extra charge and that I couldn't eat the food because it was extremely salty. She then grabbed the bill out of my hand and in a rough way took the to go box and talked to someone else. The person asked her if I ate the food and she answered no. Later on, she came back, threw the bill on the table and said that it had been adjusted. We will never go back there and seriously recommend that no one else go...
Read moreMy wife and I traveled to Tennessee for the banana pudding fest. We stayed at a hotel in Centerville. We were looking for a restaurant for dinner. We never know we're we will end up. We really didn't want to drive, so we stayed local. We found a small restaurant just across the road from the hotel. We found MI Cocina Mexican Restaurant. We definitely were not disappointed. Considering it was Friday at dinner time and the parking lot was packed, we were able to get a seat right away. Our waiter Manuel V was very pleasant and professional. The service was excellent. The food was extremely good. The portions were more than enough. The margaritas were perfect. Flan was for dessert, and yes, the flan was excellent. We definitely were not sorry for stopping in at MI Cocina Mexican Restaurant. It's comforting to know that we can still find an excellent restaurant tucked away in a small town. My wife and I highly recommend MI Cocina Mexican Restaurant. As always, please be safe in your travels. When you have that empty feeling in your tummy. Find a nice local restaurant and stop in and enjoy...
Read morewhere do I begin. We ate there, the food was great! No complains there. Our complain is that our waitress had the audacity, to ask us if we knew where she could score pills. Because we were knew to town, she said that normally new people have drugs on them and that she was paying $12 a pill for them. Then ever so proudly said, " I'm 2 years clean from meth! Thanks to saboxine. But I'm looking for pills." I come to eat at a restaurant. Not get asked if I had drugs or knew anyone who does. How do you randomly ask 2 strangers about this while they are on a date?
Needless to say we will no longer be eating at a restaurant that has a drug addict working for them. Completely inappropriate of her to do talk about that with customers and loudly enough that the table next to us (which were...
