Buyer Beware! If I could apply negative stars, I would. There is no pool add advertised. The place smells of mold and mildew. Not just a little. It hits you like a sucker punch. When the ac is on, it's freezing. When turned down, very wet and humid. The smell increases. The pillows are disintegrating and smell like unwashed head. The sheets were completely threadbare and I think they were clean, but so old, grayed, stained and smelled of mildew like the room, so I couldn't tell. Since the rooms are wet and mildewey, you will sleep in smelly moisture. We went to walmart at 11 pm and bought pillows. There was just no where else to stay! Our room also smelled of cat pee on top of mildew. It was quiet, but the smell kept everyone up. There was some sort of animal puke in the hallway when we checked in and when we checked out. We had one dingy, worn towel. It was also threadbare and absorbed nothing. Smelled wierd. I think everything had absorbed the bad mildew smell. When I asked for more towels so my husband and sons could shower, she said there were none. Ok. When owning a hotel, isn't it important to have enough towels? We borrowed towels from a nearby relative. The tub had a fine layer of dirt on the bottom. Clearly, the prior occupant had been filthy, and no one bothered to clean. My older son's room had dirty sheets. Positives: the morning coffee area was clean and smell free. Ceffee was good and they had a decent continental breakfast. Minimal but good enough for the price. It included waffles. The girl at the counter was nice. She brought us clean sheets. I did not blame her for the conditions, as this is a situation that has grown from years of neglect and no one putting any money back into the business. I did not detect bed bugs. Super 8 should seriously reconsider this hotel for health reasons. There's more, but this post is...
Read moreIf I could give negative stars I WOULD!!! WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!! Blankets are 30 year old gold blankets with those little fuzzy balls on it because they're so old. Felt like we were going to fall through the bathroom floor. The sink in the bathroom was clogged when I brushed my teeth and had black stuff floating up out of it. The room smelled old and musty.... carpet was old and matted and crusty, chairs were stained. Beds are a cardboard box with sheets..... this was on Monday when we stayed in room 112. Paid $63 total monday... so not worth it...Wednesday when I tried to check in... i tried to use CLC, they told me they use paper and it's mailed in and we both had to have a card and it would have been $58. We then tried online it said rooms for $52 - $63 with fees.... miraculously, it wouldn't allow us to check in online.... so the guy in front of us she told the rooms were new and remodeled. Poor guy... and then she gave him the room for $61 with tax. She proceeds to tell me for me it will be $62. $72 with tax and fees.... and I told here there were 3 prices less than $63, she told me she could do none of them, it was $72. I told her we'd go somewhere else. She told me fine. We walked out. Worst customer service and hotel I've stayed at in a long time and I travel for a living. DO NOT STAY HERE!! Went to the motel 6 that was 9 minutes down the road for $55 with CLC. Great rooms. Clean, comfortable, remodeled. $17 cheaper than their rates. WORTH the drive and...
Read moreWhat a joke. Booked through an online booking service. Paid the highest price in the hotel for a suite with jetted tub. That's NOT what I received. Immediately went back down to front desk to ask what the issue was. Was told she had a king suite booked... But NOT a king suite with jetted tub and unfortunately the ONE room that had these amenities was already occupied. Requested a refund for the difference in Rm and she initially told me to call the company I booked the room thru. Then said to come back to front desk before leaving. Guess she figured she'd be gone by the time I sauntered back that way. Yeah, no. Didn't take into account I'd be back in front of her at 5:40 am the next morning. She THEN told me to call when the manager was in. Okayyyy.... Did just that upon my arrival home later that afternoon. Manager became belligerent, said it was not hotels problem and they'd had a problem with this online "company overbooking rooms for the past year"!!??!! She really became nasty when I pointed out that if they had known of a problem for at least a year and continued to utilize this same company service... Then the problem actually was the Hotel, as apparently they were too dumb to figure out how NOT to use said booking company again. It just is a scam to make folks overpay for hotels. Called card services and had charge dropped completely. Hope that helped the hotel management get a clue on how to rectify said...
