The outside definitely needs to be more inviting. It looks like your walking into a hardware store. The entrance inside is cluttered and there are boxes and cans stacked out in the open by the seating area. It's not a warm environment inside either. There were few lights on. Everything is pretty dated inside as well. I was seated quickly but none of the staff looked happy to be there. There were signs on every food station stating don't waste the food. They meant it to because there wasn't much food in any of the food trays at one time. The food was good. I didn't have a problem with any of it. It was hot and tasted good. You did have to take small portions in order to not clean out the tray. There two older staff , which might be the owners, had a loud confrontational sounding conversation right out in front where they could be easily heard. It is pretty apparent this restaurant is in financial trouble. Not one person that worked there smiled at all. I felt sorry for them actually. It could be a nice place but that will take lots of effort on their part to improve it. One easy thing to make it a better dining experience would be to light the interior more and put on some music. Then have the staff at least smile and be a little happier. That doesn't cost much. Take the elementary school level signs down and clean up the entrance area. Paint the outside a fresh bright color. Little things like that would help the...
Read moreWe have always really liked Jing Jings, we used to go when my dad was still around and the food was good and the environment was good! We haven't been again in about 2 years. We found out they had online ordering so we placed an order online for pick up at 6pm and drove 30 minutes to pick up our order.
My husband went inside to get the order and it was 7 minutes before 6pm and he was able to hear the employees being pissy that my husband arrived 553pm to pick up our order. We were fine to wait, but we like to get to places just a little early.
There were 5 cars in the parking lot when we arrived. Then 3 cars by the time we got our food at 6:10pm. They shoved the good into my husbands hand and aggressivly said, "thanks, have a good day".
My husband watched them get the lo mein off the buffet and out it in our togo box for our order. Everything was hot when we got it, which is a plus and it was still hot 30 minutes later.
But unfortunately, my mom's food was salty, my husband's had no heat to it. Mine was missing the scallops and I'm assuming they substituted crab for the scallops when scallops is what is listed on the online menu and my sister's was just fine. I don't remember what ever one got, but it was disappointing to...
Read moreThis is my original review from 2 years ago : (Always great food and great customer sedvice) UPDATE ON ORIGINAL GOOD REVIEW : The quality of food has gone down hill:( They clearly changed the recipes on at least these items : Crab Rangoon - General Sao chicken - lo mein - they all taste wrong taste very different and are just not good anymore. Rice was good as always and the sweet and sour sauce was normal. [ I had stayed away from this restaurant out of an abundance of caution. Because : ] One day while awaiting my order, I witnessed a cook, in apron and gloves - leave kitchen and walk into bathroom - came out 2 min later still in gloves and apron and go back into kitchen . I was disgusted and did not eat the food that night 😐 So after 6 months my kid asked for it and against my better judgment, I gave in. But yeah won't do that again 😞 This town needs a quality Chinese restaurant that is up to codes and follows basic health...
