As a hotel, this place is ten stars. The experience similar to a resort. They have a goreous central patio with a fire pit and large beautiful pool. They offer an examplary, complimentary breakfast with a range of quality options. The rooms are lavishly furnished, especially the bathroom which is all stone and glass. They offer free laundry facilities sporting brand new, energy efficient machines. The fitness center is spectacular and ample. They stock community pantries with popcorn, soda, juice, teas, coffee, and ice cream, all free of charge. They have a basketball court, business centers, conference rooms, elaborately furnished common spaces, and so much more. The location isn't specatular, it's not especially close to anything important like city centers, highways, or the airport. But it's definitely a destination hotel. If you can find a good rate, I'd recommend you go out of your way for an extended stay at this hotel. I'm not sure you can do better within 100 miles.

I was forced to stay at this hotel. My daughter works for Hyatt and she told me I have to stay here during my recent trip to Raleigh. It was a bit of driving from Raleigh to this place, but it was so worth it. This hotel is a great property. It's not modern. It's very classic and I am totally fine with it. The onsite garden is so beautiful. The morning walk was so awesome that I almost missed the check out time. I did not want to leave the property. The swimming pool also looked splendid and romantic. It's regrettable I did not bring my swimming suits. I also took advantage of the pantry that was filled with ice cream and snacks. Complimentary breakfast was not the most delectable meal, but the classic dining set up was more than I could ask for a complimentary meal. I will definitely revisit Rizzo Center Hyatt if I am in the area in the future.

This place is a GEM! The view at the top of the hill, the highest in Chapel Hill, is beautiful! Large, clean rooms, with VERY comfortable beds. The staff is very professional and courteous and knowledgeable, too. The shampoo/conditioner/body wash in the shower was the icing on the cake. They provide large sizes of each and mint and orange smell, is very calming and clean. Loved it! Plenty of parking is available and you checkin at the last building on the left when coming onto the property. I scored a great deal with the hotel, during January, which is a slower month for North Carolina. Full breakfast buffet is provided and complimentary, which was perfect and in an elegant breakfast setting. Very close to the UNC hospitals, I40 and tobacco road (15-501). Enjoy!

I think declaring this a “destination” hotel is a far stretch. It’s first and foremost a business hotel that primarily serves the EMBA and associated mid-level company executives at the UNC B School. The DuBose House, which is the beautiful and historically significant property the Rizzo Center features on its website, is not generally available to stay in, though they have a handful of rooms that seemed to be hotel rooms.

That said, it’s a well-run business hotel, and comfortable/accommodating enough for families with young children. The rooms are clean and well-stocked. The room had a coffee maker, a robe and Nest brand toiletries. Cleaning staff comes through every day.

The only complaint I had about the room is the HVAC handler was super loud. And it was consistently humid and in the upper 90’s so we really didn’t have the option of not using the AC.

Breakfast is included, but the offerings are not super extensive, but of decent quality. (No fresh eggs available, but they did have fresh fruit every day.)

The property has an outdoor pool and the hotel provides pool towels. There’s also a full bar with a limited menu (bar foods) but only opens at 5:30. No options for lunch on the property.

Overall a nice stay but I felt misled by their advertising. The hotel is more appropriate for business travel rather...

They have roaches. This is a 3-star hotel. It IS nice for a 3-star but they have roaches. It’s 1:30am, I’m here, and I cannot sleep because about 4 hours ago, I spotted a huge (no exaggeration) roach 🪳 on the wall. I call to the front desk for assistance and he clearly didn’t take me seriously. I called back for him to at least bring me some bug spray or a broom and he said it will be a while. That was 4 hours ago, no one came. I took a towel and smacked the roach off the wall and trapped it under a cup. Then after I had a little peace of mind to sleep, I reached in the closet and pulled down the extra blanket/pillow bag and lo and behold…..a baby roach 🪳. At this point I don’t know what to think. Before I go home, I must shake all my clothes out and check my bag because I don’t do roaches! I really wanted to leave a great review and I wanted my stay to be great but….roaches??? And then the fact that the front desk basically showed me they didn’t give two rats as* about my room having roaches further let me know what kind of place this is. Can they afford pest control? Did they really wash my linen? What about my towels? The shower? This is the second hotel I stayed at in the last 3 months that was owned by a college and boasted or 3 or 4 star status but was undercover nasty. Ugh! I’m so…just so...

I recently had the pleasure staying at the Rizzo Conference Center in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, and it was an outstanding experience from start to finish. Nestled amid 30 acres of serene woodlands, the center offers a perfect blend of natural beauty and modern amenities.

The facilities are top-notch, with sophisticated meeting rooms equipped with the latest technology, making it an ideal venue for conferences and events. The rooms are spacious, impeccably clean, and beautifully decorated, providing a comfortable and inviting atmosphere.

One of the highlights of my stay was the exceptional service. The staff were professional, friendly, and went above and beyond to ensure that all our needs were met. The complimentary pantries stocked with snacks and ice cream were a delightful touch, adding to the overall experience.

The Rizzo Center also offers a range of amenities, including a fitness center, outdoor pool, and free shuttle services, which made our stay even more enjoyable. The inclusive hot buffet breakfast was delicious and offered a variety of options to suit all tastes.

Overall, the Rizzo Conference Center is a fantastic venue that combines excellent facilities, beautiful surroundings, and outstanding service. I highly recommend it for any event or stay in...
