A two part review of our experience.

In May of 2021, my husband and I ordered multiple pieces of furniture from Amodernary. Alexandra was fantastic and friendly in helping us choose couches, bed frames, dining room tables, kitchen tables, several chairs, and accent chairs. This was not a small order. Several were quick-ship and others were estimated to be around 8 to 10 weeks which was fine and what we agreed to.

We received the first batch smoothly in August 2021. Although one of the bed frame corners was deeply damaged and some chair legs were scratched we were overall pleased with the buying and delivery experience. We asked a claim to be filed for a new bed panel as it was outwards facing and took several pictures to support the claim. One of the couch parts was also missing, but they came back quickly to attach it. FIVE stars from the first batch delivery

Unfortunately it was after this month things started a downwards turn for the second batch. Our next batch of furniture did not arrive until May 2022, ONE full year later. During this time it was the most stressful experience I have had regarding furniture. Each month starting in October, we were told it would be delayed 1 more month, December to January, January to February, etc. It was explained due to covid delays which is reasonable, but during this time we bought other furniture from other stores which all arrived timely in 1 to 2 months.

In October of 2021, I wanted to follow up on the bed claim from AUGUST. They said the place hadn't replied, and it was a shortage of staff. This claims process went on for several months until December where I had given up on getting a new panel. I asked for compensation instead which was given December 2021.

Unfortunately communication was very lacking for next 7 months since October 2021. I called in every month to see if there was some sort of update only to be told its another month. While Alexandra and Tiffany were excellent and very friendly, I had a bad experience with Carlos. I was told we were one order in hundreds and that he was very busy opening a new location. He pushed me off again and again. I wanted better communication (maybe a call once a month even if it is to be told it is on a ship or something). I felt belittled the entire time. We had paid upfront and there was nothing I could do. I had no furniture and out of money, there was nothing I could do but trust in Alexandra and Tiffany.

I almost gave up, but thankfully Tiffany called me in May of 2022 and told me they finally had all the pieces. Thankfully the delivery went smoothly even though a part of the order was wrong. I contacted them and it was resolved.

In conclusion, if you are willing to possibly wait a year for nice furniture, Amodernary is for you. Honestly, if it wasn't for Alexandra or Tiffany, this experience would have been more terrible. Five stars for...

Amodernary has been a godsend! After feeling lost in attempting to furnish our new construction home in a modern/contemporary style, we luckily found Carlos, CEO and designer at Amodernary. He listens, contemplates, then advises. Carlos has a very pleasant, easygoing demeanor. Very professional. His sense of style and design is remarkable.
