We did "Lost In Space" and sadly, it was the worst escape room we have ever done. It was hard to tell which things were part of the game and what was "for staff only". Decorations were mediocre at best. Not professional. Many of the things in the room were not working properly. The music was SO loud that we couldn't even hear each other while standing side by side. The room was so dark and the only small flashlight would not stay on. The 'light screen' did not work even though we had all of the necessary 'equipment'. The girl working the front desk was very nice. Our game guide was polite but the hints were not helpful and we could barely hear what she was saying on the intercom bc again the music was beyond loud. When we asked if she could turn it down slightly, we were told there was no way to adjust the volume. When we solved the room, there was no indication that it was even complete. Very anticlimactic. We have done many escape rooms and even one at the North location which have all been worlds better than this South location. We wanted to do Quest of Honor as that one had good reviews online, but it was being repaired and down for the week. So if you try this location I would choose another room other than Lost In Space and maybe you will have a better experience. I would be very hesitant to do another room with this company for fear of the next room not being up to par after wasting $160 (5 people) on this one.
In response to your reply: Thank you for your response. I don't want to "give away" too many details of the clues for those who may choose to do this room in the future. However, the 2 main issues we had with things not working properly were 1) the "light screen". We had the necessary "equipment" but the clue was so faint that it was barely noticeable. We contacted the game guide several times about that one particular clue informing her we were not able to view it after taking all necessary steps. She then continued to tell us that sometimes you have to tilt your head, move to the left, do this, do that, etc and when we were finally barely able to even make out what our "code" possibly was (and after other issues prior including getting the needed key "blind") we were all so frustrated and just ready to be done with the room. Another issue we had was that the box on the wall that you have to utilize in order to access the other part of the room (again, trying to not give too much away in what I say out of respect for others who may still want to do the room), my husband actually got shocked pretty good from 2 of the connections. As for the music, we made mention multiple times to the game guide (while we were in the room, using the intercom to notify her) that it was so loud we couldn't even hear each other talk. We did not wait until after the game before mentioning that. I agree that the music did add to the overall frustration. There were, however, several things along the way that we mentioned to the guide as we were playing the game. Maybe she did not make note of them, but they were mentioned to her. Also, as soon as we escaped and walked into the hall wondering if that was the end, she came walking down the hall and said "yeah, sorry. that was the end." We immediately told her that we were dissatisfied with the experience and that we had done many rooms over the past couple years (including at Exit North) and this one was not up to par by any means. Again, when we got in the lobby, we repeated our disatisfication. She did not acknowledge or respond and instead told us there were no wooden discs for the wall to note we had escaped and gave us the business card with her name on it asking for a 5 star review so the company would "give her a small tip". We were there for my husband's birthday and I was very sad that instead of it being the highlight of our night, we left frustrated. Again, I appreciate you taking the...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy friends and I had SO much fun here! We did their Bank Heist room for my birthday, and it was so fun (yet challenging)! The maximum number of people allowed for this room is 10, but I actually emailed the owner in advance and they were able to accommodate our party of 11. A couple guests were running late because of traffic, but the staff were very understanding and let us wait for them to arrive! As for the room (or should I say ROOMS) themselves, they were extremely well designed, both visually and puzzle-wise. Aiden was a great game master who helped us through the entire thing with the many hints he provided. Although we unfortunately didn't make it out in the hour we were given, he was super nice and said he would've given us extra time, if not for the dinner reservation we had to go to shortly after. I even called the day after to properly thank him (we were literally RUSHING out to make it to dinner, so we had no time to talk to anyone in the moment) and he was very friendly once again and even said our group gave him a good laugh, which I found pretty funny. I HIGHLY recommend this place and I hope to be back here soon!! Thank you for making my birthday such a fun...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe've been to other escape rooms, but this was the worst. It wasn't because of the game itself because it was ok and it looked cool. It was the instructions and the vibes from a staff member. Some escape rooms, once you're out of one room you don't need to go back. This was not the case with this location. We didn't know that though. Also, other escape rooms have timers in the room to let you know how much time is left. They came on the intercom and announced that we had 30 minutes left, then she said she came on and said that we had 15 minutes, but no one in our party heard her. It felt like it had only been 10 minutes after she said we had 30 minutes left she came in and said you're out of time. We were so confused because there was no way 30 minutes went that fast. We could barely hear what was being said the entire time. I actually said one time that I couldn't hear and the lady came over the intercom and was like, I said..... We just didn't have a good experience overall. We felt it was a waste. I would suggest that they get timers to put in each escape room game. It helps. I only gave three stars because the game was interesting, otherwise, I would have...
