Whatever you do, avoid this hotel at all costs. I stay at random hotels all the time, and I've had poor experiences in the past, but this location will not support you in any way and refuse to correct the issue.
I reserved a room at this hotel for three nights. This includes the first night in which I wouldn't arrive until at least 2 am (due to late arriving flight). So essentially, I'm paying for a full night and barely getting that. No big deal though, as I wanted to guarantee I had a room. Upon booking, I reviewed all the terms and conditions to ensure I wouldn't have issues with a late check-in. I even called the hotel to verify and was told a late check-in was fine. Makes since as every hotel I've been to in my life has someone there 24/7, so it wouldn't matter when you arrive, as long as they know you're coming.
Well, on the night of my check-in/arrival, I was informed I would not be allowed to check-in upon arrival. They told me nobody would be at the location to "let me in" and the remainder of my stay would be canceled since I didn't arrive on the first night. I had one of two choices after that. Either sleep in the airport till the next day (and still not be able to check-in to a new hotel until around noon), or to try and find a room last minute at 2 am. This ended up being nearly impossible because you can't look up rates for a night that's already over. So I had to call each hotel in the area just to find another room. Most were sold out, and the only one I could find willing to let me come in last minute was the Sonesta around the corner. I had to pay a significantly higher rate due to it being a last-minute booking and only for one night.
Avoid this Extended Stay at all costs. On top of everything, they tried to hold my money and refused to refund me, claiming I was a "no-show" in an attempt to avoid having to refund me. All this, while messing with my credit limit and usage as I had to spend hundreds of dollars for rebooking last-minute hotels, which were not as nice as my original. And no, none of this was listed on their site or while booking that late check-in wasn't possible.
There are numerous other hotels in the area, all generally priced around the same amount. Even better, choose the Sonesta as they are almost literally next door. Extremely friendly service and actually have staff working...
Read moreI booked the room online as we were relocating to Charlotte. I was told they did not have a room with 2 beds, however they did have a room with Queen bed and pullout sofa, so we took it. That is where problem began. That night I tried to pull sofa bed out and it was broken. I went to front desk and was made aware they were sold out and that was all they had but they would move me the next day. Which was fine with me. The next day I was moved to another room but the problems were even worse. I was beside the door entrance as well the guest beside me had a dog in the room that would not stop barking and all you heard was people walking up and down hall being really loud and slamming entrance door. I called to complain 2 times tonight about dog. First time at 8pm. I called front desk and he came down to make guest aware that he was getting complaints. Then at 12:30am the dog starts barking again because guest was going out of room and hanging outside with group of people. I called front desk and she as well approached guest. I tried to go back to sleep after that but was unable as to dog still barking and people running up and down hallway as well as people slamming door and talking loud, So i went to front desk at 2:15 am. I asked the lady was there another room I could be moved to and was told they had a room on 3rd floor but she couldn't move me because it was a suite. I then asked her to call her manager and was told by manager they couldn't move me into that suite as it was more expensive. So here I am at 3am cannot go back to sleep and people are still wandering halls and being loud. As well dog continues to bark!! I have to be up at 530 am to get ready for work so sleeping is not a option tonight. Mind you I paid 1200.00 to them for extended stay. This is day 4 and I regret choosing this property. I did call the number i used to book room but was told I would not get a return call for 24-48 hrs from complaint center. Oh last but not least very 1st night checking in I was approached in hall and was asked was I or did i know anyone looking for weed!!! At this point i just want my money refunded and find somewhere else to stay!!! Management is terrible at resolving issues, however I must say front desk staff was very nice but can only do what manager tells...
Read moreAbsolutely do not stay here! Decided to stay here for 2 nights while staying in Charlotte- last night and tonight. At first “Courtney” who checked us in was super kind and accommodating, or so I thought. She was initially very friendly and even showed us to our room. This was different, but we figured it was because the hotel was set up “weird” and you had to go through multiple entryways to get to the rooms. Upon entering the room we were asked if everything looked okay. At first glance everything seemed fine, but due to her being there we hadn’t yet “inspected” it. While it was outdated, it seemed okay for the little bit of time we would be spending in it. We left to retrieve some snacks, came back, and started putting out things away and low and behold there was a roach between the trash can and sink. Honestly, not surprised, as the longer we were there the more ran down the place seemed. We instantly went down to the front desk, which had just closed(it was only 10:40). We had been instructed to use the black phone on the wall to call for help if the desk was closed. Another woman (Debra), who was kind, told us we would get a call the next morning as she could do nothing for us. I made sure that she knew we would not be staying and to make sure we could get a refund, she said we should be able to but we would have to talk to whoever was SUPPOSED to call us. Fast forward to this morning, we receive no call, so I called them myself. We were told we would receive the security deposit back, but they couldn’t fully refund because we had booked through Agoda. They instructed us to call them so that they could call the hotel and the manager could verify what happened. Agodas customer service did exactly this, but when they got back on the phone we were informed the hotel said they RECEIVED NO COMPLAINTS LAST NIGHT. I then called the hotel back about this and she confirmed she had spoken with Agoda and while she didn’t agree with it her manager wouldn’t authorize a refund due to us saying it was okay when we were taken to the room by Courtney. Essentially we were scammed, and I don’t want to see this happen to anyone else, so...
