This hotel is huge in the rooms were very nice for the price in appearance. It is unfortunate in a hotel the size that you would be put next to three people, one must have been rocking most of the night with a physical or mental condition, played loud news all night and through the morning, I called the front desk to tell them to come up and listen and they said okay I waited 40 minutes but nobody. When I checked out I said you guys were going to come up and he said well I haven't made it up there yet I have to wait till the driver gets back, and I said well that's not what you said. I explained that the TV was on loud all night with loud noise, someone with a condition was rocking constantly and hitting the wall, and their dog would bark loudly about every 45 minutes, and asked if the front desk could do anything about my inconvenience. He said no but he would tell the manager and I said would you please have the manager call me and he said I will tell the manager so I ask again would you please have the manager call me which was about 15 hours ago. I did ask if they could tell someone was next to me and apparently their system was down but he said the trio , I know there was three because I could hear them shouldn't have had a dog on the third floor. I would have given this place five stars but this was the most disrespectful and disruptive lack of sleep I have had in years. I do plan return trips to cheyenne, with the experience of this one even though there was a clean continental breakfast I'm not sure I would give them another chance or not. Perhaps at the front desk acted a little bit more concerned and had they not acted like they were going to come up to listen to the loud noise and had they had the manager call me as I had requested twice I might feel different about the situation. They are doing a renovation, which really isn't needed most of the issues they have there are service related. They put a large charge on your card for incidentals and they said that according to the front desk that will come off and four or five or six days. There are a lot of hotels in the area, I just can't recommend this one even though the rooms were clean and in a okay condition the noise was ridiculous. On the wrong side the bathrooms have a very dim light. When one is showering it's very very dark. Again, I just don't recommend a stay here after the lack of service assistance and disengagement of management.

As a first time guest to the Red Lion Hotel and Conference Center in Cheyenne I was pleasantly surprised by what I saw. This hotel was quite large and the parking lot was even larger. Upon entering the building I was impressed by its vastness, the lobby had numerous chairs, a tv, a fire place, a pin ball machine, vending machines, a business centre, a bar, a breakfast only restaurant (6 am - 9 am) and numerous conference rooms. The pool and workout centre were very close to the lobby and both looked clean and inviting. My room was priced right; however, I wished it had a fridge, microwave and coffee pot. I did later come to learn that the restaurant does provide complementary coffee from 6 am to 9 am. I did have issues with the Phillips TV in the room but the hotel handyman fixed the issue immediately. I ordered dinner from the Fireside lounge which was easy to find in the lobby. Everything ordered was good but the All American Burger and the Buffalo Wings were especially yummy. The bartender Trish was very helpful and friendly. 🍺 I used the guest laundry facilities this morning and it worked perfectly fine. The machines are coin operated, there is a bill changing machine in the laundry room as well as a coin operated machine for soap, softener and dryer sheets. This hotel has some areas that are a little bit dated; however, it is still very nice and charming. If you want a super fancy hotel then book the Gaylord Palms LOL. I suspected due to COVID-19 this hotel is underutilized; however, I can only imagine when things return to normal that the Red Lion will return to being a bustling establishment with a full parking lot.

The WORST hotel i have ever been to. (For the price $160 CAD $112 USD) Yes thats a wild claim but please hear me out. The hotel is undergoing renovation (not mentioned in ANY booking website (I booked thru booking.com and there was nothing about renovations)) which caused the hotel to be a mess, specifically the elevator was covered in plaster and I can't help but feel bad for the people coming out of the pool with wet feet only to get covered in dust and debris. Which leads to my second point of the RUST/DIRT in the water from both the bath and sink faucet as well as the toilet. Absolutely disgusting I didn't even bother showering it was so nasty. Bath tub is cracked and horribly repaired in some places, and the people who renovated did a horrible job and spray plastered OVER the outlets (fire hazard) making them unusable in the bathroom. (See pictures below) WIFI: Not working during my entire stay. Had to use almost 20GB of data just to talk to family and friends as I am solo traveling and would like social interaction... a luxury I guess... For the price I paid (160cad/night) I would expect much more from a hotel chain around since 1959. Id ask for a refund but the lady at the front desk is too nice and I don't want to make her deal with what I'm sure is the 100th complaint today. THE GOOD: The room itself was tidy Bed was comfy Breakfast was good. THE BAD: just about everything else. TLDR: Do not stay at this hotel if you want to take a shower or have wifi

Will never ever come back here. After years of wonderful service from you guys I am absolutely baffled at the service I received. They didn't take my license because I have one of their old address id stickers. Yes I know everyone got the new ID. It's never been an issue. I've used my ID for everything at many hotels before we got here, even out of the state of Oregon it was good. He told me it was fraudulent and that it's possible I could be lying about my identity he proceeds to LAugh about it.. laugh? Is this funny to you?? Telling me I'm trying to do something illegal?? You kidding me?? . My mouth was wide open I've never been told this. I'm just completely in shock over this whole interaction. My face is the face on my ID MY address all that was needed there. He went and asked another co worker, she told him "I wouldn't take it at the bar" (I don't even drink ) he walks over and tells me no I can't stay here. I'm disappointed, it's 9:00 at night with a family in the car waiting for good news. I know my son is throwing a fit we only drove 12 hours... I told my husband about it all. I was just defeated. He goes in there and talks with the guy and they take his information even though we are married lol He DID NOT get my reservation, had to make a new one and charged him full price $130 instead of the 93 listed on their website. My reservation was priced at 80.39 since I use booking and my genius lvl gave me discounts he didn't even give that to my husband..

This group of people made this experience so unpleasant for us. It was uncomfortable the whole time.

No stars for you.

If y'all came in here got your room and slept like a normal person then yeah 5 stars but.. man What a journey over my old ID which is all legal I checked the DMV before I left the state to be sure.

(I told him I'd review this and he laughed and said yeah a lot of people say that... )

What happens when everyone gives you 1 star.. no body wants to go to a 1 star.

Should start treating people better.

Maybe send an upper to test these guys.....

We just checked out a day early, made the reservation through Priceline. 1st - I would not recommend this place for a good night's rest, the bed was so hard and I could feel every spring in any position. Both my husband and I did not sleep at all, tossed and turned all night. Woke up unable to move. 2nd, the management really needs to put some money into the maintenance of the facilities our air conditioner did nothing but make noise, there was no cold air, the room was stuffy, stinky, and stale smoke smelling. The toilet ran all night, the tub didn't drain so when showering in the super slippery narrow tub you stood in the collecting water around your ankles. There was mold on the ceiling, a repair had been done over the tub most poorly you could see the web tape and where they tried to cover it with spray texture, the towel bar was mounted to a piece of unpainted plywood on the wall. The drapes were missing one side so people could see in our room. I'm not a picky customer, I've stayed at some sketchy places and this is one I would categorize as sketchy. The cleaning crew needs to be a little more thorough, there was dust on the lamps, hand print grime on the doors and outlets it was black and greasy looking and gross. No continental breakfast, and when you get a customer that says they are checking out a day early, eating the extra $53 a night you are willing to sacrifice just to not stay there you think they would ask at least "How was your stay?" But nope nothing. I will post pictures later, and leave all with this...if you can afford it spend the extra 50 or whatever and stay at the comfort inn across the street you will have a better experience. Good things at this place, the bar & restaurant had good appetizers and great staff, and the sheets smelled clean...
