We took a trip to Chickasha to participate in a two day night rifle match. Originally we booked for 2 days then our schedule worked out so that we could go a day earlier. I got on line and CHANGED my reservation several days before the trip to add 1 day. We arrived at 12:30 am Friday morning. My wife took advantage of some time Saturday to balance our checkbook and she found that we had been charged twice for the stay so they had 1100.00 of our money tied up. This caused us to have to use credit cards during the rest of our trip. I could only imagine if this happened to someone that didnt have an available credit card!!
Now lets get to the real bad issue. We were set to leave on Sunday but we didnt get in till nearly 5:00 am that morning from the match. We talked to the front desk and asked what is the latest late check out. We were told 2:00 pm. They got our room number and put it in the computer. Great that allowed us some time to sleep so we could start our 6 hour trip back home more rested. We put do not disturb tag on the outside door handle and went to bed. At about 11:30 there was a loud banging on our door. On my way to the door I was thinking this shouldnt be happening. I looked through the peephole and saw a thin woman with long brown hair and a lanyard around her neck, name tag and papers in her hand. I asked her what do you need and she sternly replied "ARE YOU CHECKING OUT OR GOING TO EXTEND!" I said "WHAT?" in disbelief and she repeated the same line the same exact way. Now I was angry for being woken up. I said to her we had arrangements for a late checkout . To which she replied again in a loud voice "I WILL CHECK WITH THE FRONT DESK" and walked away. I tried going back to sleep but couldnt so now our late check out was basically ruined. We went about getting ready to leave very leisurely and loaded up a cart and headed out the door. I turned around and that woman was walking quickly up to us. I asked her "were you the one banging on my door earlier?" knowing full well it was. She replied "oh that was probably house keeping seeing if you needed anything." WOW. I couldnt believe she lied to my face. I told her I saw her through the peephole. I think that threw her off her game and she pointed to a door and said "I was knocking on that door" I said "yes thats our door!!" Then she had the nerve to look down at her papers still in her left hand and say "I checked with the front desk and they didnt have you as a late check out." I said Ill see about that and we left. Stopping by the front desk we asked just simply "do you have (room number) as a late checkout?" She looked it up and said "yes it is noted in the computer" As I thought, that lady lied again to try and cover her tracks. So I told the front desk everything about our trip. I asked for her name and a brief discription and she told me her name was "Erica". I said that woman should not be working here and that she bold face lied to me twice. So she gave us a card to do this review and said the manager reads them. Now it wasnt all bad in fact the hotel was fantastic. All of the staff we interacted with were great. Housekeeping that cleaned out room did a wonderful job and we went out of our way to take money down to leave a tip. Front desk people were always prompt courteous and attentive. We never had a chance to eat breakfast it just didnt work in our schedule. The reason for 2 stars is the actions of this one person wrecked out last night of sleep and her lies were completely unacceptable. If someone that worked for me did what she did I would let them go on the spot. It took nearly 2 weeks and several more calls before the Hotel finally saw they OWED us our refund for overcharging our cards. So we were without access to our own...
Read moreWe were in town for a family reunion with dozens of extended family members. The Hotel was top notch! The rooms were large, clean and comfortable. The amenities were great like super comfortable beds, large bathrooms, soap, shampoo, and conditioner all provided in pump bottles in the shower, etc. The staff was the best I've experienced in a very long time as well. My aunt was staying at the hotel with us and she is on dialysis. She had to go to several early morning treatments during her stay. The first morning she was there, she was in the lobby early in the morning looking for a little bit of food before she went to her treatment but it was about 30 minutes before the breakfast was available. The hotel staff asked if they could help and for the rest of her stay, they took it upon themselves to put out the protein items for the breakfast 30 minutes early on the days of her treatment just so she would have something in her stomach. That is incredible service!! The breakfast options were also incredible with a wide variety of hot food, fresh cut fruit, breads, hot oat meal with all the toppings available, cereals, juices, yogurt, excellent coffee and bottled water. Everyone who served us went above and beyond what was expected to ensure that we all had an excellent experience. I would recommend this hotel over any other hotel options in...
Read moreTerrible customer service. I stayed one night but was charged for two due to apparent mix-up by Marriott Bonvoy. The site manager, Amy Williams, was condescending, appearing to be half-drunk, as she had trouble keeping her eyes open and had to lean against a desk to keep her balance. She told me she and her staff almost lost their jobs due to COVID. And now, she must be careful with the "hotel budget". She appeared to be more concerned about her job, her history, her staff, her budget, than about a loyal customer. The conversation was more about Amy Williams’ troubles than about her customer’s current dilemma. Amy Williams tried to push me towards Marriott Bonvoy to get a refund...but Marriott Bonvoy pushed me back to the hotel, advising the hotel charged me and must, therefore, provide the refund. Amy Williams refused. I lost $194 but Fairfield Chickasha (and Marriott Bonvoy) will lose THOUSANDS over the coming years. I will not continue to partner with a hotel that treats its loyal, paying customers so poorly and employs such unprofessional and incompetent managers.
Stay away from Fairfield in Chickasha...go to Hampton Inn down the street. I am cancelling my Marriott membership and now fly solely with Hilton. Hhonors treats their customers...
