We recently had the pleasure of staying at the Garden Grove Inn. It was the most charming bed and breakfast, and it was an absolutely delightful experience from start to finish! This hidden gem offered the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of the city.
Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted by the innkeeper, who exuded genuine friendliness and hospitality. Hillary’s attention to detail was evident throughout our stay, as she went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and satisfaction.
The room was tastefully decorated, with its own unique charm and character. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, offering the perfect balance of softness and support. We could have easily spent the entire day lounging in that cozy haven.
One of our favorite aspects of Garden Grove was the breakfast each morning. The homemade dishes were a culinary delight. The dining area, with its inviting ambiance and scenic views, was the perfect spot to start the day.
Garden Grove also boasted some fantastic amenities. The beautiful garden provided a serene retreat, ideal for reading a book or sipping a cup of coffee. The common areas, adorned with comfortable seating and charming decor, created a welcoming atmosphere for mingling with fellow guests and sharing stories.
This idyllic retreat was conveniently located near many attractions, allowing us to explore the surrounding area with ease. Whether it was hiking trails, quaint shops, or historical landmarks, there was always something new to discover.
In conclusion, our stay at Garden Grove was nothing short of exceptional. The friendly innkeeper, cozy accommodations, delectable breakfast, and convenient location all combined to create an unforgettable experience. If you're seeking a peaceful and rejuvenating getaway, we wholeheartedly recommend this charming bed and breakfast. Trust us, you won't be...
Read moreI had booked the room during the week in advance for a month. I liked the beach nearby, the bikes available for use and the room. However, I couldn't figure out how to use the jacuzzi. Instead of simply giving me directions, the male owner wanted to come inside the room to show me how to use it. I simply never used it; I couldn't figure out how and verbal directions didn't suffice. Furthermore, I had some difficulties with the payment. Paula was really considerate and understanding. Jerry became very intrusive that first night, was extremely suspicious and made me uncomfortable. Since the other amenities were to my liking I stayed. The payment was taken care of like I said it would. Instead of being understanding, Jerry canceled my long term stay plans. When I reached out and gave an explanation to his concerns, he responded with some strange message about how the message was "unsolicited." He also escalated the payment to possible "credit card misuse." It was ridiculous. A supposed peaceful stay was escalated into a sitcom plot. I noticed other couples and families stayed there. I wouldn't recommend it to a S I N G L E, female traveler or Businesswoman. They're older people who make mountains out of molehills and get really nosy and intrusive. Jerry doesn't treat single female Professionals with respect unless they are with male companions. He kept trying to speak to me alone, and it made me uncomfortable. If it weren't for the accommodations and location, I would have left...
Read moreTo be fair, I don’t really consider myself a Bed & Breakfast aficionado, but I do travel a lot and most of the time with my dogs in tow. This was our second stay here at the Garden Grove Inn, and it was just as good as the first trip. This time we were in The Garden Retreat room in the Carriage House. The room was clean, well maintained, and had all the stuff you might expect to find in typical house (mini fridge, microwave, blow dryer, coffee pot, electric kettle). The room was large enough for my wife and I, both of our dogs, and two crates which we brought with us for when we needed to leave the dogs unattended. Besides being very accommodating to our fury traveling companions, what I like most about this place is the breakfast. I have eaten my fair share of poorly made complimentary hotel breakfasts before, but never here. Everything is great, and I do mean everything. Each morning we got a different little pastry then an egg and potato dish. The broccoli and cheese quiche was ridiculous, and the sweet potato hash we got with the breakfast tacos on day two was better than what you find at most restaurants. The coffee is from a local roaster down the Red Arrow Highway, and even the hot sauces were artisanal. We plan on staying here again on our next visit to the...
