So first off I only rate this hotel a 2 star at the moment in hopes they will reach out and try to accomodate my wife Megen and I for where they fell short and I might think of increasing my review. Also note that I didnt take any photos of the "good" things because there was nothing that wowed me that I felt needed photos besides the "bad" So my wife an I have a wyndham rewards visa platinum card and currently are gold reward customers and we try to stay in wyndhams whenever possible and have stayed in some of their resorts and suites as well as a few Gardens. We generally are pretty happy with them. I have skimmed a few reviews on this location and they seem to be fairly new. And for the most part everything looks new and nice but they fell short in a few areas..read for more... So first off location is great right off the highway until you find out you have to go into another hotel parking lot and then go in the back of that one to get to this one..a bit odd and our doordash got lost trying to find it its just strange but not too horrible. When we got here at like 8pm there were only like 2 other cars in the parking lot so I assume they have a slow night. We booked a king and i noticed while driving in on the app it said they still have 2 king suites available so at check in i politely asked if we might possibly be able to upgrade to a suite since it looked like they prob werent going to book them. And we have in the past been able to get upgraded so it doesnt hurt to ask. She told me that she doesnt know how to change room selections so she wouldnt be able to do it. In my head i was thinking like ok I will wait while you ask someone(You know take care of your customer, especially a wyndham rewards gold customer) I looked on the back wall and it said manager on duty with no name. And she didnt care to look into it any further and I had had a long 10 hour drive to get here so even though I wanted to ask her to call someone I also just wanted to rest so I decided to just let it be but I am very dissapointed especially because I was looking forward to using the couch in the suite. Then we get up to our room and although yes it looks new and certainly not bad at all but as you will see in the photos they rushed things and or didnt finish our room. I mean some of these things would take an extra 5 minutes to make these things perfect and not like they hired a min wage worker to do it. Should have used tape when painting around the tub/shower. Theres paint on the sink faucet. Huge unpainted section of drywall in the bathroom. The closet door is hung crooked so it doesnt fully close properly. In the closet at the bottom theres a hole that leads to behind the tub, Either patch it or put in an access panel, dont just leave the hole. Why is the coffee maker in the bathroom? Theres a desk it can go on. Who makes coffee in the bathroom!?? I mean these are all little things but if they just took the little amount of time and did things right it would be close to perfect and I wouldnt have as much to complain about. But things like this make me second guess my hotel choices when I travel and might make me chose a different brand and get their hotel credit card in the future. I mean just starting off on the wrong foot by not looking into upgrading us or atleast pretending to try to make me feel like you did something especially when you see we are wyndham reward gold members and then hand you our wyndham credit card it just makes us feel like you dont care. And when it appears the hotel is empty and that suite is most likely just going to sit empty anyway and when we are giving you business during COVID when most people arent traveling. Make those who are chosing to stay with you feel special. Its the little things wyndham..take note.

Stay away!! For this place that's less than 3 years old, it is literally falling apart. Either that or they're still doing repairs that they didn't finish two years ago when they built this place. The staff is nice(if you can find one), though they should be wearing appropriate clothing if you're going to be receiving paid guests. The entire place looks like it's being remodeled. There's spackled corners, ceilings and patches everywhere. The freeway noise is relentless, and they obviously did not spend the money to upgrade to better windows and walls on the freeway side. My door latch does not catch. The fact is the door handle does not function (missing screws) I have to use the deadbolt to lock the door. The bed has been made very poorly, though it looks clean. Found hairs and dirt just like the shower. The toilet paper roll on the wall is already pulling away on one side and you can tell that somebody tried to repair it improperly. Notice the patches on the ceiling of the room in the pictures. Even the person patching the ceiling dropped material and stained the chair and the carpet. See pictures. I did ask for a handicap room when I was checking in and he said "none of them were cleaned today." I guess I'll see how the breakfast is in the morning to make my final determination if I will ever visit this place again. It's going to have to be pretty damn good for me to ever come back. After my night and breakfast….. the breakfast is a bare minimal hotel service which is terrible. No hot pan of foods. Microwave sausage biscuits. Barf. I went to the front desk and there is no one working there. I talked to an employee who agreed this place is falling apart. Only 18 rooms of the 110 were taken last night and some were double booked. I was on the noises freeway side, had long hair in my shower, dirty bed and non locking door amongst a whole host of other issues. Do yourself a favor and stay away from here!!

This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. The room was dirty. Mold in the shower, thick layer of dust, and trash in the drawer from the guests before us. The elevators smelled horrible. They gave us one wash cloth and 3 towels for four people. When we asked for more we were expected to bring the used ones down to the front desk. We put them out in the hall and they were not picked up. We chose this hotel for the indoor pool. After getting swimsuits on my 3 and 5 year old grandkids we got to the pool and it was not heated and the water was too cold to swim in. When we inquired we were told "we don't advertise a heated pool." I was unaware I had to ask, I have never stayed at a hotel that did not have a heated indoor pool. At breakfast there were bagels and no toaster. When someone asked about a toaster they were told "someone broke it a while back and we haven't replaced it." How much does it cost to replace a toaster? The hotel is understaffed and it shows. I have stayed at Wyndham Hotels before and never had this experience. Very disappointed šŸ˜ž n this experience.

We stayed at the Wingate by Wyndham in Christiansburg this past weekend. We registered for ā€œ2 Queen Beds, Mobility/Hearing Accessible Room, Bathtub w/Grab Barsā€ and non-smoking. The details of the room description include the following Mobility/Hearing accommodations: ā€œ bathtub grab bars, adjustable hand-held shower wand, bathroom is wheelchair accessible, portable bathtub seat, raised toilet seat with grab bars, bedroom is wheelchair accessible, closet rods at wheelchair height, visual emergency alarms, flashing door knocker, telephone TDD, closed caption TVā€. ||Our room was on the 4th floor directly across from the elevator. A wheelchair accessible room should not be on the 4th floor because evacuating in an emergency without the benefit of the elevator creates a barrier to safe egress. This is unacceptable. While this room did have some accessible features, a traveler using a wheelchair should not be assigned this room, ever.||Contrary to the advertised description, the bathroom did not include bathtub grab bars, and adjustable hand-held shower wand, portable bathtub seat, or a raised toilet seat. There were grab bars by the toilet and the bathroom is large enough to accommodate a wheelchair, with proper access to the sink for handwashing. ||Also, I disagree with the description that the bedroom is wheelchair accessible. It is accessible in that the door is wide enough for entry and the foyer area is large enough to turn around. However, there is no room to wheel next to the beds on either side or in the center. Furthermore, the placement of the desk chair creates an obstacle to reaching the HVAC controls. It would require moving the desk chair while operating the wheelchair. Finding a place to store the chair that would not impede movement in the room is unlikely. ||There was evidence that the room is not properly cleaned between guests. The shower curtain was stained with pink, gray, and orange mold. If the shower curtain were changed out between each guest and laundered properly, there would not be an opportunity for mold to build. Also, our ice bucket had pink mold growing in the bottom and even contained hair. While a disposable liner was provided, we opted not to use it at all. I did report these findings to the front desk and was told they would let housekeeping know. ||The elevator went out while we were there. Thankfully, neither of us was stuck ON the elevator, but one of us was downstairs trying to return to the room with a cart while the other was waiting. After a few minutes, the front desk staffer was able to reset the elevator. There were two elevators there, but we only saw one operate and do not believe the other is in service. ||Our linens were incomplete. We reported this on arrival so we would not be charged with stealing. There were two pillows on one bed and three on the other. We were provided 3 bath towels, 1 hand towel, 1 washcloth, and 1 bath mat. When I asked for 2 hand towels and 1 washcloth so we had enough for both of us, I was given 2 washcloths and another bath mat. ||I cannot offer a review of the included breakfast, since we did not partake. The coffee situation was dismal. Whatever coffee was in the urn at the end of breakfast was all there was for the day. Our first day, we had a cup on arrival. It was tepid after sitting for 7+ hours. There was no microwave to reheat it, nor were there lids so we could take it to our room and heat it there. The next two days, there was no coffee remaining after breakfast. Perhaps they do not have coffee available all day. If that is the case, the urns should be dumped soon after breakfast. ||The first floor ice machine did not work. When I asked about ice, they directed me to another on the third floor. I wouldn't have known it existed if I had not asked. ||After all the complaints, I’ll add a few positives. It looks like they are slowly renovating the hotel. Our room appeared to be recently painted. The hallways have sheetrock repairs underway and they were working on the roof a bit while we were there. The common areas downstairs seemed to be fairly clean. Our bed was comfortable. The pillowcases were rather thin, but the rest of the bed linens were clean and not too worn. We did set the colorful fabric stripe aside because it was stained. The bath linens were clean and appeared to be fairly new. ||The hotel has potential if they put a bit more effort into proper cleaning in the rooms, maintained the elevators so they work as they should, and put better thought into providing accessible rooms to those who...
