My son and I went in for lunch this past Saturday (02/18/23) and the service was slow at first. We waited too long just to be seated. Our waitress had several tables and was trying to keep up because of course they are short staffed. I ordered the Garden bar as my entrée and my son added it to his meal. When we went up to the bar there were no plates. We stood there for a few minutes and NO ONE even attempted to help us. I asked the female bartender, who was 10 feet away from us and digging through her purse, if she could get us plates and she yelled toward the kitchen that the salad bar needs plates. Instead of taking a few steps and handing us plates she was more concerned about what was in her purse. No plates ever came. The bartender had one person sitting at the bar and could definitely see us still standing there and she couldn't have cared less. Lazy! Our waitress, who is at least 30 years older than the bartender, finally noticed us and hurriedly brought us plates and apologized for her lazy co-worker. My son ordered the 6oz ribeye that for almost $18 only comes with one side- a baked potato. He asked to switch the potato for fries and I was charged $1 to make the switch! I have never seen this before...he got a few undercooked fries, a tiny steak covered in fat, and the salad bar for $23. Ridiculous. I tipped our waitress 20% because she really tried but let her know we will not be back to this location. I've been going to Ruby Tuesday since 1984 and this location...
Read moreI will offer 2 only bc of the server. Great guy and attentive. His name's Curt (sp?).
That being said, my wife ordered the bacon club sandwich with fries, and I got the tacodillas. We both ordered the salad as well. The salad bar was fine, save some brown, wilted green leaf lettuce. The other choices of lettuce were mid. So, that was disappointing.
It took 40 minutes for our entrées to arrive. The bacon club? Wow! It was basically a pile of burnt bacon on toast. Hardly any lettuce. You couldn't even taste the sauce bc of the overcooked bacon. The tacodillas' fixings were delicious, if you ate them separately by scooping them out of the burnt tostillas that tasted like old grease.
We told the waiter about the bacon in the alleged "bacon club". He apologized profusely and asked if he could personally fix us a new one. We respectfully declined. Such a wonderful server (we tipped him well btw).
The manager, if that's what you would call her, was not exactly apologetic and she seemed to be put out by our displeasure. She did, however, comp us for the disaster of a sandwich. I certainly hope she re-trains the cooks, because they clearly DO not know what they're doing.
My wife and I have decided we will only visit this location for the salad bar from now on. If you decide to visit, ask to be seated by...
Read moreWe got mozzarella sticks, loaded potato skins, and artichoke dip. The loaded potato skins had almost no cheese on them, and were very dry compared to all of the other times we had them, so we had thought we should bring it up because maybe there was a mistake. The waitress was snappy and rude when we brought this up. We shared a confused conversation after she left because we didn't mean any harm by the comment. Afterwards she came back over, being overly nice and mentioning things that we just spoke about. It was clear she was easedropping on us, but that's not why I'm writing the negative review. The breaking point was when she was taking payment for our bill and it came time for her tip. Out of no where, she starts trauma dumping on us, telling us about someone being in the hospital possibly on the verge of death. We were so blindsided no one ever caught who she was talking about! It confused and upset the children at the table. She was a complete stranger, it was entirely inappropriate. She heard us being upset about her treatment of us, and fearing a worse tip, she tried to make up for it, and when she thought that didn't work, she gave us a sob story to try to guilt us into giving her a bigger tip. It was slimy and put a damper on the rest...
