We ordered 6 meals tonight on our way through on a cross country move. We placed it for curbside pickup. When we arrived, we parked and called the number on the sign. It was ringing endlessly and no one picked up. We go in and the girl is scrolling on her phone ignoring us. We go to the pick up area and are still ignored. Finally we go stand right in front of her and she finally looks up to say 'yeah?' OH so eloquently. She asked if any of the orders in the pick up area were ours and when we said no, she shrugged and went back to her phone. No sense of customer service. Another girl brings our order out from the kitchen and we go to the hotel. Not a single meal in that bag was correct. My meal was dry and flavorless. My twins pancakes were dark on one side and tasted gross. Its ridiculous that pancakes are too difficult for this team of cooks. Another meal of burger sliders were hard and dry. The buns were soft and hard as a rock in alternating spaces meaning they were 100% in a microwave. Then my aunts entire campfire chicken meal was NASTY. The entire meal had a rubbery reheated quality that was entirely due to being reheated. All the vegetables were turning nasty colors from sitting in a sea of greasy sauce. My mother's meal was missing sides and the gravy for her biscuits was ice cold like it was from the fridge. Just overall not the experience we expected to have. We called the store immediately and the girl answering says the manager isn't available because hes "sorta busy helping cook and stuff". After insisting, he told us he couldn't do anything unless we came back to the store to pick up gift cards or vouchers. We said no we want a refund and he said only corporate can do that. We call customer service and they say they can't do that and can't give out corporates contact information. Now if this is because of an incompetent team or this is becoming a trend, either way we shouldn't have to spend $82.13 on garbage. The fact you can't just get an easy answer or any assistance whatsoever is outrageous. This is the second cracker barrel that has been terrible this year. We plan our trips using CB as our stops for food and entertainment for the kids in the storefront. That will be changing now. I won't continue to give my business to a company that can't even do a simple refund when the staff knew it was a bag of trash going out the door. Now we will have to go through the bank to have this resolved since corporate can't be bothered according to their customer service department and store managers. And just maybe train your staff to have even an ounce of manners. A 'hello' or even eye contact is not asking for too much when...
Read moreOur little server was having a very tough day, she could not get it together, could not remember to bring what was asked for. Didn't ask what kind of bread (assumed we wanted biscuits, I did not). Had to ask more than once for silverware and napkins were brought near the end of the meal (with small children). Yes, she still got a 15% tip, against my better judgement. The managers were standing within 20 ft. of our tables talking for an extended time, never checking on guest (we were there over an hr.), but was noticed criticizing the staff, and then walking back to the store area. Yes, this was very noticeable and when we motioned to them to ask for napkins and to say something about the food after it was served, where our gal was busy, a blind eye was turned. I ordered the New York Strip (Med/Well) with Grilled Shrimp, the steak was surrounded with a layer of thick fat/Grissel, which also ran through it. Neither I nor my 3 yr. old grandson could chew it. when I got the servers attention and let her know I was informed "yes I got one the other day that wasn't good", and asked what I would like in place of it. I chose a hamburger steak (thinking it would be fast). After about 5 minutes, I was told it would be out shortly as it takes 7 - 8 min to cook. Told her ok, then asked to order a dessert for afterwards, with a long discussion we came to a conclusion as to what to order. The dessert was brought out in approximately 7 - 8 min later and consumed with all at the table. Then we asked for boxes and the hamburger steak was finally brought to the table. This was totally unacceptable d/t I had already waited on the first steak over 25 min it was not consumable, had to get someone's attention to let them know and then took at least that amt of time for the second order which was a HAMBURGER STEAK. This is the first time going to this location that the service was this poor. Yes, it was Valentines, but my arrival time was early enough that there were not that many customers when getting there, which was good having small children out. Unfortunately, by the time we properly got our food and left (with most of it in hand - over an hour {almost 2}) later, it was packed. My heart was with the other customers sitting there and the poor server that was attempting to wait tables but couldn't pull it out. I just hoped it was near the end of her shift. Yes, I did pay my full bill, changing the Steak price out to the Hamburger Steak. By the time I walked out I was almost $70 in the hole. Not...
Read moreFirst I want to start by saying my mom and I visit this location regularly. I am still in shock February. The eighth of 25. We both ordered the same thing eggs. Meat hash Brown's gravy, biscuit waitress brought food and said they were out of gravy. If I wanted to wait for it would be ready in one and a 1/2 hours. My bacon wasn't fully cooked and I told her needed to be cooked, like it was on my mom's plate. Well, you would have thought I was special ordering. She came with bacon, so burnt. You couldn't eat it. I told her forget the bacon. I need to talk with the manager now. That I know her name Amber Davis was the manager. Amber brought more burnt bacon to the table. I told her forget the bacon. We didn't get the gravy biscuits, and she needed to do something about our bill. Amber says she will go get the gravy. She brings it back. The gravy is watery, poured some over a biscuit and absorbed it. No flavor at all, waitress comes back to tell her again. Need to talk with the manager. She told me the gravy was like water because Amber took a part of the frozen gravy and mixed it with hot water. Again stated that it took one and a 1/2 hours to cook. Amber comes back to the table, I told her she. Needed to apply some type of discount. I had eggs and hash Browns. That's not what I paid for she. Refused to offer any discount. Wouldn't come back to the table. Eventually I go up front to where hostess is and ask them to get her. She comes up with attitude saying she wasn't going to do it. I told her that was fine. All I wanted was her name, she laughed at me and said her name was Rhonda. I asked for her last name multiple times she laughed at me and walked off. I was then approached by a manager whose name is Rhonda. Albert, she was so kind and let me know this is not acceptable. While speaking to her rhonda, she advised me the manager I was speaking to was amber???!!! She told me her name was Rhonda. We don't feel comfortable ever returning here. Thank you to Rhonda, Albert, for you being so kind. But the waitress wished I got her name thought the whole situation, along with her boss Amber Davis was so funny, I am still...
