Very upsetting experience, I was taken advantage of and if I can help even one person prevent the headache this episode caused me; this review is worth reading. The hotel is at best barely decent, you get what you paid for but some basic essentials are missing, mine did not have a fridge, the bathroom had some mold, and there are some shady characters lingering around. Please be careful, not just because of the sketchy location, but because the predatory manager, especially if you are using a 3rd party website to make a reservation. YOU WILL BE TAKEN ADVANTAGE OF. I came in around 2-3 AM, and the first clerk messed up my online reservation and I had to cancel it, he also ended up charging me twice for the motel and told me I had to go to the bank to solve it myself, when I asked for his name he refused to tell me so... he was at least willing the respect the price I found online. I'll give him credit for effort, but it was very negligent on his part regardless. Later that day around noon I called the front desk and the clerk, Sophia was very sweet and quick to respond to my question, she had assured me that I would be refunded for the second charge, she also asked if I was checking out, to which I said no. Also, Sophia if you are reading this, I was very impressed with your professionalism, thank you for your effort, I hope your manager treats you as well as the service you provide. Anyways, I thought that resolved everything, but no. It all went downhill when the manager randomly opened my door around 3 PM asking for my ID, without providing context. When I went downstairs to check out what occurred, I was hit with an extra day fee, even though I had not been there for even 10 hours... all within the 26th of August. I asked why she needed my ID and she said it was for verification services, but is it a coincidence that I was hit with a third charge right there and then? I will give the manager, Josephine, the benefit of the doubt, but I would not be completely honest if I said her intentions did not seem malicious. She claimed that the clerk Sophia had told her I was checking out, to justify the second day charge, even though I said I was not by phone just an hour and a half ago. The manager, Josephine proved inflexible and unwilling to understand the unnecessary charges she brought on me regardless that I explained it calmly and respectfully. She made one good point, that the checkout time was 11 AM, however, it does not change the fact that NONE of the clerks had mentioned this to me, nor did she inform me that I would be charged again if I continue staying when she had visited my room… when I brought this up she said it wasn’t her issue. Really? Assuring your clerks do not provide the necessary information to your clients is not your problem? Not only is this unprofessional, but distasteful. The cancellation of my online reservation had yet to be approved by her as well (Despite it being at the request of the 3rd party website as well) making the situation more uncertain. I left right there with 2 unnecessary charges (The unapproved cancellation and the sudden extra charge) and feeling completely taken advantage of. $79.20 turned to $237.60 all within 12 hours. It is likely she will not approve it as well. I ended up writing a complaint to the Better Business Bureau, and to my surprise, I am not the first one, and if this behavior on the managers part continues unchecked, I definitely will not be the last. Consider taking your...
Read moreThis was our first attempt here for our corporate uses (check in 7/18). Started bad. Younger lady all in black, black hair, Booking .com stated 2pm check in. I had to go to the night window, she could not even be bothered getting out of her chair, even after I said cant hear you. She just kept saying 3pm, ok informed her the website said two, she said fine, $35 more. She made it very, very apparent I was interupting her tik tok time or something. Never even bothered checking my reservation to see it was a corporate (Corporate accounts are loved by most hotels) There is only one of two answers acceptable, "I am so sorry sir, but the rooms we can put you in are not ready yet, our apoligies" or "It is 3pm, let me see what I can do for you" Your employers will probably not be happy you blew out a corporate account.
When I came back, 45 minutes later, a younger Asian lady helped me, she was efficient, polite, great to work with. Cleaning staff, even though we couldnt speak to each other were friendly, and the mature HIspanic lady (assuming the boss), she was very pleasant, very friendly, very respectful.
I would say, get that one employee away from your customers, she is more harm than good for your business. I mean honestly, I am not sure our corporate will use you again.
The rooms, they were clean, looked nice, fridge, microwave, nice flooring and AC worked, cant ask for more.
It looked like the hotel was remodeling as there were like 30 mattresses in the parking lot. Maybe still waiting on disposal. The one washer and dryer looked like something I wont put my clothes in, vending machine didnt work..........so thinking they are working on the place.
This is a basic hotel, it attracts the kind of guests on a Friday night or Saturday night that wont care they are keeping others awake, and I sure would not leave a nice car in the parking lot. During the week, it was quiet and nice, Friday and Saturday night, I got no sleep......................look, it's not bad, it's not a nicer Holiday Inn express. for me alone, it is fine, I wouldnt probably...
Read moreDo not stay here! I recently had booked this place for one(1) night and I could not force myself to stay here. This place is straight out of a horror movie. The experience was horrilbe and I should have known better just from the way I was greeted. (Skip to the end if you do not want to hear the rant)
It took over 10 minutes to have someone show up at the front desk to check me and my partner in. Upon arrival, the receptionist didn't even so much as say hi to me. I was given a room key and given directions on where the room was located. Upon arrival to the room, it emmediately smelled like cigarettes and weed, there were patched up holes in walls, and there wasn't even a safety lock on the door to close it. I went downstairs to speak to the receptionist, another 5 minutes to show up, and requested a different room. The "new/non-dirty" room was not any better. Still smelled like smoke, totally run down furniture, lose hinges on the doors, and rocks for pillows. I went back downstairs and told the receptionist that the room was not any better and we really did not want to stay here anymore. I requested a refund since we were not staying due to the poor state of the rooms and he emediatly said there wasn't anything he could do for me. Since I booked through a third party, I needed to take it up with them. I left totally upset but, figured this would work itself out given that I had a valid reason not to stay here.
Since then, it has been a week, and Expedia has tried multiple times to have them give me a refund with no luck. Apparently, the one to grant refunds is the general manager, who is out of town, they are not sure when he'll be back, and the only way to reach him is through email... Way to give the work around to keep the money!
Save yourself the money, trouble, and disappointment and DO...
