I arrived with my family between 10:00 PM and midnight or so. There was a mix-up with our flights so we needed to rest. My mother and aunt are handicapped. My mother walks on a cane and my aunt is in a wheelchair. We just needed to freshen up, eat something, shower, and sleep for a few hours. We left at 5:00 AM for the airport our flight was scheduled for 7:11 AM. Now our party was over capacity. I gave the Lyft driver the address turns out we were supposed to be at Westshore. We were desperate and he was unable to take us to another location. There was 1 room left. We took it. I was only for a few hours of sleep. there were 8 of us. As I stated before, we were booked for Westshore and the Lyft driver drove us to the wrong location. That room had 2 double beds and a couch bed. The room at your location only had 2 double beds I do understand. We settled in to freshen up to find no dishes, the refrigerator would not open. We later found out. We chose the Extended Stay to shower, eat and get a few hours' sleep before we got up for our flight in a few hours. We bought food to cook but were unable to. Nothing to eat on or with. We go to the Seven-Eleven right up the street to get snacks. I go to the bathroom, to find roaches running around the bathroom floor. Several of them. I tell my kids to look at these roaches! They come in and see them. Another one of my children opens the kitchen cabinets again roaches! That explains why there were no dishes and the refrigerator did not open. Nobody would want to freshen up before their flight with roaches. We leave at about 5:00 AM and stop at the front desk to express our concerns. An apology would have been just enough. The lady at the desk tells us they spray immediately when there is a complaint admitting she is aware of the problem otherwise you would not know that they spray immediately. She then states they don't know because you cannot see them in the daytime. Realizing how she sounded she flips it on us there are only too many people for this room, and that excuses the roaches that we had in our room? My mother told her that was BS and had nothing to do with the roaches that were in the room. It was unacceptable and I did not want to hear those poor excuses. All she had to do is offer an apology and say they would tell maintenance immediately. She chose to make an excuse. Yes we were over capacity but our circumstances were dire and we needed food and shelter immediately. No, and 2 disabled people were not able to sleep at the airport. We were offered vouchers. Who was coming back to stay at the roach motel? She didn't like what my mother said. My mother walked out in was disgust. The lady at the desk proceeded to talk as my mother walked out behind my mother's back and that was when she got told off by all of her children. My mother was finished when she walked away and had nothing more to say. Perhaps you would want to bring your mother and handicapped aunt to sleep in a roach-infested Entended Stay with no dishes and a refrigerator that was unable to open. Poor poor, poor. I have stayed in some very nice and affordable Extended Stays and this one was not one of them!! Unless it was her family's hotel there was no need to make excuses just fix the problem!! Read moreWatch out for Leo and Rose. At check in, I had the simple request to use the restroom. We had traveled some distance to get here it was just time. Rose told me no, the only thing it was near was the employee restroom only I would need to wait. So I stood there and discomfort and waited for her to continue her check-in process. Can I tell you I felt like she tried to hurry a little bit for me?? No, I don't. We stayed here a total of 6 days please make sure you pack a cooler with cold drinks to bring for the refrigerator if you plan on using vending machines like any other extended stay their state out of order the entire 6 days. We have left one day and we left like any other hotel we didn't say goodbye we just left. We went on to another Extended Stay location and stayed there. Because of business we wanted to come back to that location this location. We had learned that we were barred. We were not welcome here. The first reason we were given was that we did not let them know that we were checking out there for we owe them another days fees for renting that room. I was flabbergasted I could not get my head around that. Two and a half hours later after speaking with customer service at Extended Stay. Leo and Rose change their story and said that we smoked in the room. They had not mention this to us at all. We don't smoke. And they were upset because they wanted to charge us the $250 smoking cleanup fee and they could not. So Leo and Rose have barred us from all Extended Stay locations. If you take a look around you will notice that this locations rates are much less expensive than the other ones. And I thought I was saving a few bucks but it turns out it's like my grandfather told me you get what you pay for. I typically don't write bad reviews I only write good ones if I don't have something positive to say I don't write a review I promise you this is not personal this is not drama these are the facts that I have dealt with this afternoon and it is preposterous unprofessional outrageous dishonest and gross. So take caution bring your own drinks don't have to go to the bathroom and check in and make sure you say goodbye in the morning before you leave. Read moreOk, I have a real rub here. Let me explain. I've been here 3 weeks so far on business. Rose and Maggie are awesome!!! But..... They have a new girl at the desk that is going to cause me to give my first ever bad review. Not to mention the woman from the national guest relations center I thought I spoke to in confidence, and asked not to cause a stink with this new desk person because I had planned on being here another few weeks. I am here on business. I work sometimes 20 hrs a day. I need the 24 hr in house laundry and that is part of the reason my company chose this place. Anyway, after working an 18 hr day today I needed to do laundry. A few work button ups and slacks. But upon dragging a 20 lb laundry bag to the laundry room, my key would not open door. While I fiddled with the door the so called night manager emerged, cigarette in hand, and totally disregarded my dilemma. After her key failed to open door she stated," oh well,,mine dont work either"... I'm smokin a cigarette,,, sorry.... Huh?? This is the same employee who told me the other night that she was new and hated her job and didn't give a fk about anybody. Very unpleasant and unprofessional. No problem. Although someone like her would last less than 5 minutes with my company I let it go. Have my own issues.... But after her nonchalant attitude tonight, I am pissed!! Then, when I called a national guest relations # I was greeted with more of the same. I asked the woman if there was a way to override the laundry door and asked her not to call the desk as I will b here a few more weeks and want no ill will or problem with local staff. So what did her rude ass do?? Called the lazy, no good, worthless person at the desk and told her I complained. I now believe all the negative reviews I have read about this place and outfit. Almost $600 a week for a suite and then this bs?? I'm done!! Will be checking out this week and will NEVER, EVER recommend to another!!! This outfit doesn't care about real legitimate guests.
