Being a Food critic for a major Magazine in Los Angeles Greater Area, I was excited to Stay and relax in this exceptional location within the City of Industry ,Pacific Palm Resort. The rooms are little outdated like a lot of things in this resort, but the rooms was the great service from the lobby attendant Lisana to room attendant. I stayed in suite on the 4th floor for the 3 days I was here. I had no issues with the room. I don’t golf but did go out with rented clubs played at The Babes course. The Hospitality was keynote here been a seasoned Critic for Eater and Food & Wine. I decided to go out and try their Restaurant. The Red Restaurant decor is so outdated in tone and lights in front full of moths don’t feel clean how you will see in the pictures. The Wine cabinet seems lack the proper atmosphere the edges have a lot of blemishes. The wine list is missing new age wines with few exceptions like the Terra de Oro and My favorite 1000 Stories Zinfandel. There is a nice long bar that attracts a large crowd of Golfers in the day and bad company in the evening. The cocktails have absence of flavors and out of fashion for 2022. They're dining rooms and outdoor patio outfitted with heaters making certain you are comfortable, but it lacks elegance and real comfort from Many rude guest and Managers ill explain later. I had the good fortune to dine for breakfast, dinner and take out they don't have room service understanding the California current condition. Breakfast menu seems to be your regular resort type. I had the Eggs Benedict from the moment it arrived, I knew the muffins were the same premade muffins you can taste the old dry freeze burn. The hollandaise was semi broken and lacked acidy and flavor. Fried Potatoes over seasoned well felt more like I was in an IHOP. The Cutlery and Tableware had dents and scratches. Every dish is presented well, but not thought out and lack artistically in attractive in presentation. In their profile they signified great cut of beef and great Seafood. Were the Lobster and the great steaks? I asked our waiter Melissa. She told me try out the Lamb. I did get the lamb They had New York but they couldn’t provide me the age of it so Of course, the taste were seasoned but mediocrity flavors . Their quesadilla , nachos, blackened chicken pasta , and Sesame Wok were all a scrumptious gastronomical disaster as was their dinners. I tried their firecracker shrimp and spicy tuna poke tacos appetizer and highly recommend it to any golfer but not to any one with real Taste. I had the Seafood Garden the salmon and scallops sit upon a bed of sauteed vegetables in a rich sauce of herbs. I do not enjoy under cooked scallops, but this dish didn’t change my mind. They could even serve this alone with bread and folks would order that too. The fish is all precut not fully fresh I asked if they any fish with its head or not filleted. The Nachos with steak appetizer was so unappetizing as the seasoning was over palatable of sodium fake cheese. One really cannot say enough about the level of service from the Staff. Been serve by Irving on Saturday Morning with Sebastian has our waiter. In my last day Saturday my husband and I wanted to have last dinner at Red try out something new. Instead, I got to see a major incident with a manager and the hostess. My husband approached the manger about his attitude and been more respectful to his staff. Rolando disrespectfully told him this wasn’t his concern didn’t care about opinion all. This all happen about an Umbrella in the patio. Been our last day I decided to get up and leave this will be the last time I come. It seems this place is still in the 90’s with lack real Management and Positive Directive If they put more attention to detail, and hard work by every staff member from the parking, lobby, kitchens, restaurants, pool, spa, shops, and housekeeping – it would be exceptional across the board. Definitely returning but to make a...
Read morePacific Palms Resort has the potential to be a 5 diamond resort, however misses the mark where so much potential can be made.
On the outside the resort is stunning. Driving into the resort you are greeted with beautiful signage and a friendly gate attendant that guides you on your way. There is ample parking on the right for visitors spending a day at experiencing one the many amenities. To your left a nice driving range and driving straight forward brings you to addition parking for hotel guest.
As a solo disabled driver, the amount of handicap accessible parking came as a pleasant surprise as there was so much availability.
Upon entering the hotel, the lobby is massive. My front desk check-in experience was very pleasant. The front desk agent was very friendly, welcoming and informative. I'm very used to valet parking so having to self park and unload was not an experience I had expected at a resort. The front desk agent i believe his name was Michael did find a bellman to walk with me to my car and provided services with bringing my luggage up in the cart which was very helpful.
Once I entered my room that's where the facade of beauty started to disappear. The size of the room was very decent however the room is very very outdated for a lovely resort. My bed sinked in , my bathroom originally didn't have a shower curtain, bath tub cracked and simply not the cleanest or best kept room. I travel with my own pillows and blankets so I never realized it was missing bedding until my partner wanted a blanket and pillow once he arrived and I stated my room doesn't have any.
Trying to call guest services from the phone did not work so he did head down to the desk. Again experience with the front desk was pleasant.
The resorts amenities are very nice. The pool area had amazing views, the golf course provides two 18-hole courses, golf carts and a PGA store to add to your collection of goodies. The resort also offers a spa which i did not experience at this time.
I did take time to adventure around and noticed some elevators down for maintenance, dined in the bar area and enjoyed shooting pool.
I came here for location as it's not too far from la or orange county but still provided you with a nice getaway. While I was here they rang in the new year with a very fun disco new years eve party, however I was not quite prepared. Had I know prior to check in I would have planned to attend the paid event.
The bar experience was very fun with friends and food was delicious.
My overall experience here was decent however my stay did not meet my expectations when I think of four star resorts and diamond resorts. As someone who writes and blogs their solo trips and experiences in hotels, I would love to see this resort make the major improvements to rectify my review and truly earn 4 stars. During my stay I did not experience continental breakfast services , but the complimentary parking and wifi was a nice feature. My only other disappointment i must state is the $100 authorization PER night is very excessive which led to me shortening my stay to just a two night stay instead.
My final verdict. If you are here for location and amenities then this is an amazing place, however if your like me who also loves a luxurious day enjoying a nice room . Then this place falls short in hospitality upkeep and until room renovations are made you are better off staying elsewhere as the cost of rooms per night do not provide the quality and up keep of a room you...
Read moreStepping onto the grounds of the Pacific Palms Golf, Spa and Conference Center, one is immediately enveloped by a sense of grandeur and tranquility. This sprawling property truly lives up to its "awesome" reputation, offering a multifaceted escape that caters to golfers, spa enthusiasts, and conference attendees alike with remarkable finesse. My recent stay was nothing short of exceptional, marked by an overarching sense of quality and, most notably, a service experience that was utterly flawless.
The property itself is a magnificent expanse. The golf courses are meticulously maintained, offering challenging yet enjoyable play amidst stunning, verdant landscapes. Even for non-golfers, the views across the fairways provide a serene backdrop, particularly at sunrise or sunset. The spa facilities offer a haven of relaxation, with a comprehensive menu of treatments designed to melt away stress. The conference center, while not my primary focus, appeared well-equipped and seamlessly integrated, suggesting a highly functional environment for business gatherings. From the lush gardens to the well-appointed common areas, the sheer scale and beauty of Pacific Palms are undeniably impressive, creating an atmosphere of an exclusive, self-contained destination.
What truly elevated the experience from excellent to unforgettable was the impeccable service. Every interaction, from the moment of arrival to departure, was handled with a level of professionalism, warmth, and efficiency that is rarely encountered. The front desk staff were welcoming and swift, anticipating needs before they were even voiced. Dining experiences were consistently delightful, with attentive servers who were knowledgeable about the menu and genuinely eager to ensure satisfaction. Housekeeping maintained an immaculate standard, and any minor request was met with immediate and cheerful assistance. It felt as though every member of the Pacific Palms team was personally invested in ensuring a perfect stay, creating an atmosphere where guests feel genuinely valued and cared for. This flawless execution of hospitality truly sets Pacific Palms apart.
While the overall experience was overwhelmingly positive, there is one area where Pacific Palms could ascend to even greater heights: the interior design. While well-maintained and comfortable, some of the interior spaces, particularly in guest rooms and certain common areas, possess a more traditional aesthetic that, while classic, could benefit from a thoughtful modernization. A refresh with contemporary furnishings, updated color palettes, and perhaps more integrated technology could truly elevate the guest experience, bringing the interiors in line with the stunning natural beauty and exceptional service found throughout the property. This would transform it from a grand classic to a timeless, cutting-edge luxury destination.
In conclusion, the Pacific Palms Golf, Spa and Conference Center is a remarkable establishment that offers an outstanding retreat experience. Its awesome property and, more importantly, its absolutely flawless service make it a highly recommended destination for anyone seeking a luxurious and hassle-free getaway. With a strategic update to its interior aesthetics, Pacific Palms has the potential to become an unparalleled gem in the...
