Learn from my mistakes. If you're shopping for a cheaper carrier like I was and want to bring your own device and keep your number, DON'T walk into this store. Go to WALMART and buy the metro pcs sim card, it will have instructions to activate and the customer service from the call center is a lot friendlier and willing to help you get what you want to begin with.
The physical metro stores are salespeople, like a car dealership, you walk in knowing what you want but they try to make a sale with you to get a new phone or add-ons. I fell for the free phone (you only pay the taxes) and realized 2 days later that I had no need for another line on my account so I returned the new phone got refunded my $20 taxes for it and still had to keep the 2nd line on my account untill the end of the month though it was not being used, According to store rep, no refund for the 2nd line. Then, after the 30 days, to take off that 2nd line was a pain in the ass, so I ended up switching carriers to a service that isn't trying to scam people out of more money.
If you want metro and already have a phone but just switching providers, get the sim card at Walmart, save yourself this trouble I went through. If you want a new phone then yes go into the store for their deals and to see the phones.
I ended up switching to visible, it was super smooth no activation fees nor selling me add-ons nor "porting number fees" like metro does when transferring your number from your...
Read moreI have been a consumer to this metro store for over five years now, recently I went to purchase a T-Mobile cell phone. I had to go back the next day to return it due to making an out going call and my voice wasn't being heard. So I let the rep Lupe know of the situation and she gave me a very hard time to replace it for one that worked, telling me.....it being a final sale she shouldn't return it at all. I mentioned to her ..." The phone you sold me doesn't work" I told her I wasn't asking for my money back but to provide me with a pH that works. She mentioned that due to policy on receipt that she doesn't have to replace it. But that she would this time cause she checked it and it didn't work. Next day I had a different phone and the same thing happened with that one very low sound on my speaker to hear when I get a call , so I took it back telling the same representative Lupe of this phone and she didn't want to replace it and told me to leave the store. How unprofessional and rude . I told her I would be informing the BBB on the way they handle there business at...
Read moreVery rude staff I went to buy a phone around 7:40pm 20 minutes before the close. The girl who attended me was very rude, and always on her phone the whole time we were their. she was in a rush to get out and when we got the phone she said to come tomorrow, (it was just a phone upgrade) doesn't take long but she rushed everything and she sold me a $15 screen protector that wasn't the phone's and she didn't even tell me that she was putting it on and charging me. They quickly got us out of the door and close it behind us. When we got out we realized it was not the right screen protector and she charged us for it. I came back the second day to tell her that I never asked for a screen protector and she just told me "yes you did" in the rudest tone possible.i didn't want to argue with her it was early in the morning when I went back so I just left. I swear that employ should not work ther she is so rude. And she is always on her phone not paying attention and ignoring us. I dont recommend going to this store you can always go to...
