I was traveling with my 3 month old kid & parents. We booked non smoking rooms for one night. We checked in at 9pm after a tiring day & to my horror one of the rooms had awful smell of cigarette smoke. When complaining about the same to the owner Mr. Patel, he said he can give us room freshener to try if it helps but other than that he cannot do anything about it. That's what he does with other customers too. If we do not wish to stay there, he would give us 15 min to checkout for a full refund & then I can look for another hotel myself. I called up Expedia about it & asked them to re-book us on another property without any extra charge to me since all this was not my fault. The customer care agent and her supervisor talked to the hotel manager but he simply lied to them that the room he as given us is a non smoking room !!! Expedia customer support also was not of much help. The only option they gave was to cancel this booking and either pay difference amount to book in another hotel or look for hotel myself !!! I didnt want to go through all the hassle of hunting for a room at 10 in the night with family or to shell out 4 times the money. The hotel is located right by the side of a major road with room doors opening right in front of the road. Noise from traffic is terrible and just open your room's door and every car passing by can see all inside your room. Continental breakfast is a joke and they don't allow you to drink the milk or take breakfast...
Read moreWe chose this place because we are frugal and it was one of the more reasonably priced hotels in the area. Our expectations were realistic.
The room was clean. The bed was comfortable. It smelled musty at first, but not of smoke. It got better when we ran the air. If you set it at continuous it won't turn on and off. We heard no traffic at all. Quiet as Could be.
Bathroom was nice and clean. Hot shower was great!
Flat screen TV with cable and remote. Coffee pot had no coffee but we could have asked for some if we'd really wanted it.
No bed bugs at all so ignore that review. ( we looked on the crevices of the mattress)
Slept very well! The bed was surprisingly comfortable, (and we have a tempurpedic at home so I was concerned.)
Clean sheets, clean towels. They might want to add a bit of Downey to the wash.
We couldn't find the breakfast room. No one told us it was a little house next to the office. No signage either. We should have asked when we checked in.
When we finally found someone in the office, which was locked until 9:00, we found the breakfast, which was cereal, toast, an array of little muffins, bagels, coffee, and juice. (We wanted more so we went to Bob Evans. Yum!)
We camp a lot, and this was much more comfortable...
Read moreIf I could leave negative stars, it would be more appropriate. These photos aren't of this hotel. Dirty, loud, creepy, stinks, doors dont close....|Checkout is 11am, at 9:20am some lady came banging on our window. We were sound asleep! When we answered it, in her best English, she said "oh sorry" then proceeded to stand at our window till we left. |Sheets are dirty. Carpet Filthy. The bathroom door doesn't come close to shutting. The front door had a 1" gap under it. It was 96° (all week), and they controlled the AC from the office. So much furniture in the room was a fire hazard. I kid you not, the toilet paper dispenser was at least 5' from the toilet. (I had to stand up to get TP!) When you arrive, they have you call a phone number on the door, and then they don't answer. Ice machine was broken, which was not ideal in the 90° heat! Pool had a tarp over it. Public uses the dumpswhich is centrally located near the rooms. Couple homeless people dumpster diving while we were there. |This room isn't worth $20 a night. The only positive I have is that it's within about 15 from the falls. I'd sleep in my car before I'd stay here again. Wyndham should be embarrassed to have their name associated...
