We stayed here for one night with our family of 6 in a room that was supposed to be able to accommodate all of us. 2 queen beds and a hide-a-bed. We stayed in similar other hotels along our 12 day vacation that easily fit us, but this room was super tight! And the hide-a-bed would only fit 1 person. We had to make another bed out of blankets on the floor. I will say the staff was extremely accommodating and let us use several blankets to make the "floor bed" and was extremely helpful to all of our requests.
However, the hotel had a smell throughout that can only be described as a 70's hair salon. I'm not sure what kind of cleaner they're using in there but whew! It stunk pretty bad! Even in our room.
The hotel is older inside and it shows. It took them 3 tries to get us a set of electronic keys that would actually open our door and keep working. The handle on the bathroom door was really lose. And things just looked old throughout. There was a bucket down one hall with water dripping from the ceiling into it. They were repainting the place too. Overall, just had a very old & worn out feel to it.
The beds were comfortable and the grab & go breakfasts were very good. And the staff was great to help with anything we needed. Just wish the room was a little bigger and the hide-a-bed was actually big enough for 2 people (as was advertised).
We were also amazed to see how few people were staying there. The parking lot had maybe 10 cars in it the whole time we were there? The staff said COVID had really done a blow to the area though, so maybe that's part of it. If you're traveling with a large family though, look elsewhere. the rooms are just too tight to fit everyone and sleeping on the floor ain't the greatest. Hopefully they start using another cleaner too. The smell was...
Read moreUpon arrival the lady checking us in was great. She gave us water and had us sit in the breakfast area that was initially blocked off until our room was clean. Fyi, if the breakfast area is closed there is no where to sit. ( no lobby) When you get on the elevator there is a smell of cat urine. Ugh. Our room was small for 2 queen beds but clean. However, the floors needed to be mopped because there was sticky spots after I took my shoes off. Ugh. The windows could use a cleaning too. You can hear people and kids talking between rooms. The 2nd night we stayed room number 304 had a dog. Loud barking dog at that. Assuming the owner is leaving his dog in the room by itslef. The last morning of our stay me and my husband got on the elevator with a man. He went the the same floor we was on. Lo and behold he opens up his door where the dog was barking and I saw the dog. Beautiful lab. But his barking was so loud that it was waking us up early. That's with 2 loud fans going. I told the lady at the desk and she said no dogs on our floor. I said yes their is. I guess he was trying to get out of paying the dog fee. Which im sure people do all the time. The people who worked there was very friendly however the smells and loudness between people and doors slamming and dogs was not good. Husband ate breakfast every morning and didnt complain. We normally use our motorhome when we go places but we had it in he shop so we chose to do hotels for our trip this time. Man I really missed...
Read moreStayed here while in town for a wedding and we figured we would make the most of it and see the falls while in town. The proximity to the falls was great! The location seemed okay, but during the day, various cars pulled into the lot and seemed to be drug related activities going on. I know how these things play out, I've had shady neighbors over the years.
As far as the staff and service, they were friendly and were able to provide extra towels that we needed.
The room for the most part was cleaned, but a little crammed with the pull out sofa (trundle bed). It was in rough shape and had multiple stains on it. Also, the lower compartment that pulled out was ripped down the middle. We didn't complain, just threw a thick blanket over and made do.
Breakfast was okay, your standard eggs, turkey sausage links, waffle maker and some dry things as well as toast, juice, Activia cups, apples coffee, etc.
Beds were comfortable, more so than most hotels.
If there was anything I could replace would be the trundle bed (a newer one or pull out sofa) and the parking lot cars... that would put this place higher on my "would I revisit" list. Honestly, while there were things we liked and didn't like, it was a decent place to fit our family while on a short stay. (3 nights) Sangreeta at the front desk check in was nice and the young man who oversaw the breakfast area was very nice and kept things filled as well as helped when...
