Budget Inn — Hotel in City of Syracuse

I took friends to this hotel and upon entering the room the bedding was discovered to be heavily stained and the ceiling tiles were in complete disarray. The bathroom sink and toilet had burn marks where someone had left cigarettes burning previously. The following day I was told over the phone that they believed they were being watched through the ceiling tiles that were not placed correctly. The next day I drove back in to pick them up, a full day earlier than they had planned to check out. After all personal belongings had been removed from the room, I was the last to walk out, while one of my friends was walking up to begin the process of checking out. After leaving the room, I sat in my vehicle with a clear view of the only door accessing the room, plainly able to see that no employees had entered the room since we left. However, the person working the desk at this place mentioned to my friend checking out that they had left a paper grocery bag in the room. Now, if nobody entered the room in the two minutes after we walked out, how would this person know that ANYTHING had been left behind, let alone a specific item, unless guests of this hotel are...

The fact that after taxes and fees it costs $98 a night for one room. The "room" is literally a king size bed, one small end table, one small table with only one chair, a dresser, mini fridge, microwave and the tiniest bathroom I've ever seen! Almost everything you can think of in the room is beyond dirty and disgusting. Nasty mystery stains all over the bedding, the dirtiest looking air conditioner that comes out of a whole in the wall and it doesn't even work. Shower curtain has stains all over it and everything is so outdated. Also, not to mention that the guy that checked us in was very rude and the tiny front desk area smelled so bad. We are a family of 9 that were travelling home from Canada. Came across Budget Inn to break up out long drive. Just needed a place to lay down and sleep over night.|The outside looks sketchy. Check in was a little weird. Had to talk to the guy behind the plastic guard. Told us we had to pay for an extra person because we didnt reserve 'correct'. Kept saying how 'he doesnt want any trouble' when I was telling my family member that we did. |The rooms were ok. Can see they had just finished renovating the rooms. They could use better lighting in the bathroom.
