My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our two-day stay at Park Hotel in Clarkdale. We were in town to take a ride on the Verde Canyon Railroad. We found our room to be comfortable, inviting, and well-equipped. In the room was a king-size bed and sofa sleeper. A nice desk was in a corner of the room equipped with a lamp and an 8-port USB charger. Above the desk was a flat screen TV on which guests could log into Amazon Prime or their own Netflix account. A shelving unit with multiple nooks provided good storage options. Built into the shelves was a kitchenette (sink, microwave oven, and refrigerator), a coffee maker, and branded coffee mugs. The shower was large with beautiful tile work, and the vanity area was spacious and outside the shower area so that steaming up the mirror was not an issue. Everything in the room worked properly, and the room looked and smelled fresh and clean. Things to know about staying here: (1) Unless you choose to stay in one of their two units designed for disabled people, you will have a couple flights of stairs to take to get to your room. Be prepared to be able to carry your luggage up the stairway. (2) Check in is done in advance, and there is nobody to see at the front desk upon arrival. In fact, there is no front desk. There is an office downstairs, but the door was closed when we arrived. The door code to your room is arranged in advance of your arrival. (3) There are not a lot of eating options in Clarkdale. However, a short two-mile drive to Cottonwood provides many great eating options. (4) This place seems to be primarily designed for couples looking for a nice getaway in a unique location. I don't think that I would necessarily consider this a family hotel. (5) Parking is on the street. We had no problem parking near the hotel...

We stayed in suite 7, which came with a loveseat, large comfy chair and ottoman, coffee table and 1 end table, dining table and 2 chairs, a sofa bench, two bathrooms, the main bathroom was stocked with shampoo, conditioner, body wash, eye makeup remover towels, lotion, hair dryer, and mouthwash. Extra toilet paper and towels were also stocked throughout including a very nice bathroom mat for the floor, and 1 very large, beautifully tiled shower. Also had a fully stocked kitchenette. Coffee, tea, water bottles, fridge, microwave, coffee mugs, drinking glasses, paper towels, dish soap, bucket for ice, bottle opener, and can opener. Two large flat screen smart televisions with a variety of free movies, music and channels. This bedroom had a queen size bed with a comforter and lots of pillows with an additional throw blanket if needed. There were also two separate thermostats that you can control throughout the room for heat and cool. The vaulted ceilings in the bathroom had natural sunlight come in which was very nice. In the morning there was a complimentary coffee bar and Danishes. Another added bonus is the evening train ride we took at the verde canyon railway was a few blocks away! Jerome, cottonwood are also close by. There is only a staircase to the second floor, but it's not bad. I would have preferred a king size bed instead of queen in our suite, but it is still so worth it! I wish they had more than 2 suites, and some sort of outdoor views, but Other than that We will return again soon! Perfect peaceful getaway we really...

We LOVED our room and when our son met up with us both he and his girlfriend were raving about theirs. We went next door for our free drinks and loved the atmosphere there as well! We would have been happy just hanging out at the bar to be honest! That was our only venture there as it does close at 9:00 and our train ride didn't return until 9:30. The hotel was super responsive to any inquiries. One thing I didn't factor in was when I mapped from the hotel to the depot, I was thinking flat land uh canyon should have given it away! We did walk over as that was downhill, but we were fortunate enough to get a Lyft back as I don't think I could have managed that uphill climb and we were coming back in the dark and it is very dark! I was surprised we got a Lyft since the town is very much asleep at 9:30 so if I were to do it again, I would arrange my ride in advance. I would definitely go back! P.S. I was about to be done and glanced at another review and YES THE BEDS ARE VERY VERY COMFORTABLE as noted by all. And the water bottles, etc. very much...
